Image[edit]

I found an image of Marx's small form, so I put it here. --Genokirby4 19:51, 19 February 2011 (CST)

For future references, you don't have to create a talk page to tell others that you added an image to an article. Adding the image itself is all that is necessary. If we have a problem with it, we will either: edit it, remove it, and/or delete the image. If it remains to be a problem, then we will talk to you. One last thing, we like the bulk of our images transparent as much as possible. While it is not required, if you could add a transparency to an image, you would be at our good sides for a while. If you cannot, that's OK, as the transparency can be added later. Keep editing, Austin (NIWA Operative) 08:07, 21 February 2011 (CST)
To explain, "transparent" means that the background (white in your Marx image) should be see-through, like in this image, for instance. If you don't know how to add transparency, it can be done with any decent image editing program (this excludes Paint though, as far as I'm aware, so if that's all you have, you will need to get a different tool); the file needs to be saved as .png for it to work, however (or .gif, but .png files are lossless very much preferred here). I use Adobe Photoshop, so if you have that, I can help with adding transparency in it. There is also GIMP, which is free and allegedly capable of doing the same thing, but I have never managed to do anything with it, so I won't be able to provide assistance.--Vellidragon 10:03, 21 February 2011 (CST)

The 'surprise' final boss[edit]

I'm not asking a whole lot, but could someone take a screenshot of the Marx "boss battle" from Star Allies? I don't have the equipment to export screenshots, so I'm stuck here. If no one ends up doing it, that's fine.--Marx4Smash (talk) 22:01, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

Attack Names[edit]

(Probably should have made this before actually changing some of them. Whoops.)

Anyway, some of Marx's move names on this wiki are wrong.

According to JP wikis, which cite official Super Star and Super Star Ultra guides, these are the corfect names of some of his moves:

  • His ice bomb attack is known as "Ice Bowl" (アイスボウル). No, not "Ice Ball", "Ice Bowl".
  • His arrow attack is literally called "Arrow Arrow" (アローアロー).
  • And his laser attack is called "Marx Cannon" (マルク砲). Apparently it was called "Gust of Wind" (突風) in OG Super Star??? Ultra changed it.

I don't know Japanese so I'm relying on machine translation but these names are simple so they're probably accurate. These are also the translations used on SmashWiki for what that's worth.

Also while the ice version of Jester Ball Spit-Drop references Ice Bowl and the zap version of Rush references Arrow Arrow, we shouldn't use the former names for the latter moves. #BringBackDale (talk) 00:35, 17 March 2023 (UTC)

アイスボウル is still "Ice Ball", though it's using a nonstandard spelling of "Ball" that's also translated as "Bowl" (ボウル). "Marx Cannon" would be consistent with "Magolor Cannon", so that makes sense. StarPunch (talk) 01:09, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
