Question[edit]

Hey, are these doors the reason that when I equip a Dream Friend, the colors are as if there are duplicates, even when there are not? —Preceding unsigned comment added by GBAi (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments by typing ~~~~!

Not quite sure what you mean. Can you explain further? --Samwell (talk) 09:57, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
When equiping a Dream Friend in Heroes in Another Dimension, instead of their normal coloration, they will be colored with the normal friend colors, (yellow for P2, blue for P3, green for P4). This is possible in Story Mode, but there has to be multiples. For instance there can be multi color Bandana Dees, but the original color Bandana Dee must be there in order to do this. This is not the case in Heroes in Another Dimension, where whether or not you are playing as a Dream Friend, the other Dream Friends will have the color coordinated palletes. This applies in The Ultimate Choice as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GBAi (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments by typing ~~~~!
Ah right. I think that's intentional, since in Story Mode, P1 cannot be anyone other than Kirby, whereas in HiAD, you play as other characters, so the default color will have to go there instead of any other slot. The game can't necessarily predict when you'll be a certain character. As such, I don't think the Hero Doors specifically have anything to do with this mechanic. --Samwell (talk) 01:39, 4 February 2022 (UTC)
