Level 1-4 is the final stage of Level 1 in Kirby's Blowout Blast.

Layout[edit]

Dealing with the enemy ambush prior to the boss encounter.

This stage consists only of a small singular area, built into a plus sign-shape with doorways at each edge. The middle is slightly wider than the outer edges, with four Star Blocks in the upper inner corners and bronze Score Coins in each of these corners. A cherry is concealed behind the upper-right star blocks. The stage begins with an enemy ambush of Waddle Dees, Chips, and Broom Hatters. Once these are defeated, Lololo appears to battle. Defeating Lololo completes the stage.

Enemies[edit]

The following enemies can be found in Level 1-4:

Boss: Lololo[edit]

Main article: Lololo & Lalala

Lololo attacks by running along the stage, moving in and out of the doorways at the edges of the area. He pushes a big emerald box which can be inhaled and spat back at him to deal damage. Once Lololo is down to half health, he will start pushing Gordos as well, which can only be avoided. In the latter half of the fight, Lololo often does not cross the whole stage, instead tossing whatever he is pushing ahead before heading back through the doorway he came in at, making it harder to hit him. Lololo can be defeated with four standard star bullets.

Tips[edit]

The following are tips for how to obtain a Platinum trophy on this stage:

  • The score coins can be collected at any time during the stage proceedings, so it is best to wait until nothing else needs to be done to collect them.
  • It is best to save the Star Blocks for the Lololo fight.
  • Lololo needs to be defeated quickly, particularly in the latter half of the fight, where he often pushes Gordos.

Level 1-4EX is the final stage of Level 1EX. It has the same layout as Level 1-4, but features a different array of enemies and score coin positions. The main differences in layout are as follows:

  • There are now four silver score coins in the inner corners instead of the bronze ones.
  • The star blocks are moved to just outside the main land area and are larger, though there are now only two.
  • The enemy ambush pattern prior to the boss fight is different, featuring Grizzos and Scarfies.
  • During the boss fight, Shotzos appear on the Star Blocks if they can.

Enemies[edit]

The following enemies can be found in Level 1-4EX:

Enemies

Boss: Lololo's Revenge[edit]

Main article: Lololo & Lalala

Lololo's Revenge essentially starts the fight with the same pattern as the original fight's latter half. When this fight reaches the half way point, Lololo starts pushing red boxes that leave fiery trails behind them as they go, though these can still be safely inhaled During this second half, Lololo also stops crossing the stage, always returning to the door he started at. Lololo's Revenge takes five standard Star Bullets to defeat.

Tips[edit]

The following are tips for how to obtain a Platinum trophy on this stage:

  • As usual, care should be taken to maximize the enemy combo prior to the boss fight.
  • The big star blocks can be used to shoot through the Gordo that Lololo's Revenge pushes.
  • The big star blocks should be saved for the latter half of the fight, since Lololo's health cannot be reduced further than the threshold where the second phase begins prior to that phase.
