In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, formations of Keychains can be seen on the main menu, with a selection of Keychains unique to each file appearing on the top screen. They start out randomly selected, but as the game progresses and more Keychains are collected, they will begin to appear in formations following a pre-set theme (for example, characters from the same game, or different varieties of a particular character). Specifically, these formations can be sorted into one of four categories.

Sorted by game[edit]

A random assortment of Keychains all from the same game.

Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and Kirby: Triple Deluxe are not included in this type; they have their own special assortments.

The number and order of Keychains can vary. The assortments vary from three to five Keychains in a row; bigger Keychains take up more space, so the size affects how many will appear.

Sorted by category[edit]

A random assortment of Keychains that all fit into the same category.

The number and order of Keychains can vary. The assortments vary from three to five Keychains in a row; bigger Keychains take up more space, so the size affects how many will appear.

These can be seen by collecting a certain amount of Keychains that fit into the category in question (it is thought at least three or four are required).

The following table lists the known categories and the Keychains they include. The Keychains do not necessarily have to appear in the numbers and orders listed in the table.

Randomly sorted[edit]

A random assortment of Keychains selected from all available on the current save file.

The number and order of Keychains can vary. The assortments vary from three to five Keychains in a row; bigger Keychains take up more space, so the size affects how many will appear. It seems that it is more common for bigger Keychains to be placed in the middle.

These are typically seen in the early stages of the game, as not many arrangements may be available. As the game progresses, random arrangements become less common until they are essentially never seen.

If there are two or less Keychains collected, only those Keychains will show up.
