Help:Patrol
Notice: This page applies only to Patrollers and above. Regular editors do not need to worry about this.
On WiKirby, editors make all sorts of changes, and those changes are not always good ones. Regardless of intent, these changes need to be monitored and corrected when spotted. However, if when monitoring an edit and finding no issues with it, Patrollers and above may see fit to mark that edit as patrolled. Doing so allows other staff members know that the edit checks out, and does not need to be looked at.
To do this, head to the edit in question from the Recent Changes page. Edits that have not yet been patrolled will be marked by a !. To mark the edit as patrolled, the patroller should click on the "diff" link next to the change to view it. From there, the option to "mark edit as patrolled" will appear at the top and bottom of the page. Click this to mark the edit.
Note that patrolling edits is usually not necessary unless edits become difficult to keep track of.
