Danger[Japanese title] is a small bomb-tossing monster who appears in the Kirby: Right Back at Ya! episode Kirby Takes the Cake. He is sent to King Dedede by Night Mare Enterprises after Dedede asks them for their most powerful monster, and he initially appears concealed in a giant cake meant for Kirby. Danger does not distinguish friend from foe, and will attack anyone with his bombs, but he is also weak to these same bombs, being defeated by one after Bomb Kirby returns it to him.

In the 4Kids English dub of the anime, Danger is not named. Hence, his name is derived from the Japanese version.

Characteristics[edit]

Danger is a small creature with a body resembling a studded decorated bag, rounded green Kirby-like feet, short arms with pale green gloves for hands, and two angry eyes. He can conjure bombs by shooting them out of the top of his head, and then toss them at whoever he pleases, whether they be friend or foe. Danger is weak to his own bombs, and if one explodes on him, he will be immediately defeated.

In the Japanese version, Danger repeats his name while attacking. When he is about to be defeated, he cries "Dangerous!".

Role in Kirby Takes the Cake[edit]

Danger emerges from Kirby's anniversary cake to attack him.
Main article: Kirby Takes the Cake

Danger appears in Kirby Takes the Cake, initially hidden inside the massive cake that King Dedede delivers to Kirby's first anniversary party. King Dedede had initially ordered this monster to help him stop a perceived revolution to topple him from power, but the monster's arrival was delayed due to his ambivalent nature towards friend or foe. When Danger emerges from the cake, he immediately throws bombs at everyone he can see. Kirby inhales one of these bombs to gain the Bomb Copy Ability, then uses his own bombs to fight Danger. To finish him off, Bomb Kirby leaps at the giant bomb that Danger tosses and knocks it back at him, blowing up after it lands in his hands. Afterwards, there is nothing left of Danger except for the studded sash that was on his body.
