Cracker
| ||||||||||||
|
- This article is about the sideways-launching explosive rocket in Kirby Fighters 2, and should not be confused with Crackler.
Cracker is an explosive item that appears in Kirby Fighters 2 in battles. It can be used to launch a powerful projectile at opponents to deal big damage or control space. It resembles a large and wide fireworks rocket turned on its side with a black and yellow-striped cone, a red shaft emblazoned with yellow stars, and a short fuse attached to the end which lights after being set.
Use[edit]
Crackers will appear randomly during standard battles in Kirby Fighters 2, and can also appear in sets of three when an Action Star is activated. The Cracker does not activate until a fighter picks it up and then tosses it. While being tossed, the Cracker will not damage anything it hits, instead bouncing off and changing direction if it encounters an obstacle before hitting the floor. Once on the ground, the Cracker's fuse lights, and it cannot be interacted with again until it launches three seconds later. On launch, the Cracker moves very quickly in a purely forward motion until it leaves the screen, passing through anything in its way (the Cracker cannot hit the fighter who threw it or his teammate(s)). Any opponent hit by a launching Cracker takes 64 points of damage and is knocked away (it should be noted that a Cracker can also hit an opponent standing directly behind it when it launches).
Trivia[edit]
- The Cracker is the only item in Kirby Fighters 2 which goes without any sort of description or direct mention within the game itself, with its name being revealed exclusively in the reveal trailer for the game. Additionally, despite its explosive nature, it is not explicitly mentioned or depicted in the story items of the Anti-Explosion Charm or the Explosives Sticker, and is not included in the Explosive Stage event either.
