Category talk:Images by game

Renaming

Just realised we'll need to categorise other images such as Kirby: Right Back at Ya! artwork as well, making the title of this category misleading if we're also adding sub-categories for those here. Any ideas for a better name? An option I can think of would be "Images by source", but that may also be misleading. (I can "move" the category by text-replacing all instances of the category tag, so that won't be an issue.)--Vellidragon 10:49, 23 July 2012 (CDT)

I was thinking of something like this category being a subcategory of a category like "Images by media" and having another subcategory under that to handle comics/non-game media. T.c.w7468 19:06, 23 July 2012 (CDT)

Is it necessary to keep those apart, though? As far as I'm aware, we don't have a very large number of non-game sources to get images from (enough images to justify an entire sub-category, at least. That said, we'll probably need a "miscellaneous images" category for things that don't fit anywhere else and don't warrant a new category). Just from their name, the "images by ___" categories also feel to me (personally) like they should include all the images on the site (the "images by ___" thing, rather than "images from ___", seems to suggest to me that it has everything that can be described as "images", organised in some manner).--Vellidragon 21:33, 23 July 2012 (CDT)
