No—that’s not Whispy Woods! This venerable elder is Yggy Woods, ancient king of trees. Any travelers who stray into his neck of the woods will feel the full force of nature’s wrath!
— Pause Menu info from Yggy Woods' fight

Yggy Woods is a Boss who made his debut in Kirby Star Allies. He is similar to Whispy Woods, but has a much older-looking appearance, and a red canopy. He is first seen in Far-Flung Starlight Heroes, in the Falluna Moon stage after Whispy is defeated. He also appears in Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go! and The Ultimate Choice on higher difficulty levels.

Yggy fights very similar to Whispy, but can be considered to be an EX form. He is tougher and drops cherries instead of apples. He also drops Blados from his canopy, among other things. On occasion, a golden cherry will drop from him. Swallowing this cherry gives Kirby the Festival ability.

Attacks

The following table lists all of Yggy Woods' attack in Kirby Star Allies. Attacks in italics are used in the second half of the fight only:

Yggy Woods' Attacks in Kirby Star Allies
Attack Description
Air Bullet
Yggy shoots out a number of large Air Bullets at Kirby or his allies.
Apple
Yggy drops one or more cherries, which can be inhaled and spat back at him.
Big Air Bullet
Yggy shoots out very large Air Bullets.
Burst Fruit
Yggy lets down some burning fruit on vines. These can be swallowed for the Fire ability. If cooled down using a water or ice-based attack, they yield Food items.
Big Burst Fruit
Yggy lets down much larger fruit like the above.
Enemy Summon
Yggy shakes out a number of different enemies from his canopy. These include enemies that can be made into allies.
Inhale
Yggy attempts to inhale Kirby and his allies. If successful, he will chew on them, then spit them back out.
Blado
Yggy drops a Blado from its canopy, which hits the ground, then moves quickly off-stage.
Dark Air Bullet
Yggy shoots out sickly purple Air Bullets that home in on Kirby and his allies.
Apple Festival
Yggy shakes, causing many cherries to fall from its canopy. One of these might be a golden cherry, which yields the Festival ability when swallowed.
Blado Festival
Right after Apple Festival, Yggy drops a great many Blados at once.
Jump
Yggy uproots and jumps around the stage, flattening anyone underneath when he lands.
Attack names listed are taken from internal game filenames. Note that 'Apples' are actually cherries, as both Yggy and Whispy share attack data.
