Yarn Transformation is a catch-all term used to describe the many ways in which Kirby and Prince Fluff can shape-shift their own bodies when performing certain actions in Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn.
List of transformations
Normal transformations
The following are transformations which Kirby and Fluff can undergo during normal gameplay:
Minor transformations
In addition to the primary transformations which Kirby can use, there are also a number of minor transformations which he can undergo during some actions. They are as follows (names are conjectural):
- Musical Note - Kirby transforms into a musical note when traveling along a clef line in Melody Town.
- Spring - Kirby's feet turn into a spring when he jumps from the ground.
- Tow Truck - Used to pull a zipper.
- Umbrella - Used during the victory dance at the end of a stage.
- Baseball - Seen alongside the Umbrella in one of Kirby's victory dances.

These transformations require the use of a Metamortex and are only found in particular areas:
