This article is about a theme from Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and should not be confused with a different theme with the same name from Kirby Mass Attack.

"Woods Wayfarer" (originally known as "Through the Forest") is a theme which first appeared in Kirby's Return to Dream Land.

Composition

"Woods Wayfarer" is a 4/4 theme that has a BPM of around 145, and is in the key of A minor. The lead instrument for the first portion is played by a square wave, while the second portion is played with a string instrument (most likely a violin or viola).

The original version of the theme is reused in Fine Fields - Stage 6 EX.

Super Smash Bros. series

The original version, here named "Through the Forest", is reused yet again in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, on The Great Cave Offensive stage. Additionally, it is the only track that can play during the Kirby's Crazy Appetite event.

It also appears as an unlockable track in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

An orchestral cover of this theme is present in this game, where it plays primarily in Honey Hill. This arrangement is by the original composer, Hirokazu Ando.

Other appearances

In The Sound of Kirby Café 2, "Woods Wayfarer" is featured in Track 2, "Fruits of the Dancing Forest". It's the second of three songs featured in the medley, the other two of which are "Forest Stage" and "Blowing Wind on Earthfall". It was arranged by Yuuta Ogasawara.
