Discussion

So that this discussion section doesn't end up being empty, I'll use this chance to repost my idea that interwiki links to Russian WiKirby articles should be positioned in the toolbar at the top (as a button after 'article' 'discussion' 'edit' 'history' 'move' and 'watch'). The initial idea was infoboxes, but only a handful of articles have these and many do not. Another idea was the sidebar, as is standard (on non-Vector 2022 skins), but I think this should be an option to consider if/when WiKirby gets more multilingual affiliates than one. I'm not inclined to the sidebar because if it's placed on the very bottom, it will end up being pretty invisible to an average reader (I think most of us could agree our first multilingual affiliate should be made as visible as possible). If it's placed e.g. right below or above the search box, where it is more visible while still being in the sidebar, it will be inconsistently sandwiched. This is just my opinion, though, and if the community likes the sidebar better, it should be placed there. –Wiz (talk · edits) 22:45, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

Regarding putting the links on the sidebar, is it possible to put the languages within another section and if so, what if we tried putting the interlanguage links within the community section? That would also avoid the languages section ever being empty, although I could see it becoming a size issue if/when we get more interlanguage affiliates. ---PinkYoshiFan 16:08, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
It would in theory be very easy to add languages to another sidebar section. I would suggest if more interlanguage affiliations arose that it gets its own independent box—similar to what MarioWiki does with its Dutch and Italian counterparts. Trig - 16:25, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
