Hiii, I'm Jellytost! I popped into existence on the wiki back in June of 2020, and I've been doing my best to learn the ropes and interact with the wonderful community here ever since. Just for reference, I became a patroller in September of 2020, a moderator in January of 2021, and finally an administrator in June of 2022. Being here, I feel like I should tell a bit of a story, just to give some context and be honest with the community I've been with over two years now.
Back in 2020, I had no idea where I was going or what I was feeling in life. At the time, I was hyperfixating on the Kirby anime and came across the WiKirby articles one day. I noticed the coverage was poor, so I jumped in to lend a hand without any idea of what I was getting into. Just a few days later I got invited to the Discord server, started interacting with the community, and well... here I am now. :) Ever since 2020, things in my personal life have progressively gotten worse. I struggle with disorders every day and have a bad living situation. I've always had a hard time recognizing my own self-worth. Despite all this, I've improved very much with all aspects over time and thanks to all of you, I've been encouraged to come so far and become so much of a better person. These days, though I still have dips here and there, I'm much more confident in general, specifically in my ability to make this wiki even greater than it already is. Seeing it grow with me so much over time has been a journey. I hope to ensure quality and heart are put into the work here, and to continue creating a welcoming atmosphere by hearing people out and being a friendly, reliable source to turn to for help. I like to think I'm an open-minded, honest, and kind person with a passion for the Kirby series and this wiki endeavor. It's an honor to be eligible for this position at all.
I want to say thanks to three people specifically that I met here who have changed my life for the better:
To be where I am right now is a dream come true. I love this community to bits and pieces and am so glad to be a part of it. I would be more than happy to serve as WiKirby's first AEiC. That said, I have faith in the other candidates—DeepFriedCabbage and Pinkyoshifan. I know either one would serve fantastically as AEiC in their own ways. I support them all the way. ❤
