Kirby making use of a Warp Panel in Kirby's Dream Course.

Warp Panel[1] is a stage hazard in Kirby's Dream Course. Warp Panels are small square boards with the word "WARP" written on them which flash gently and always come in pairs. Generally speaking, when Kirby enters a Warp Panel, he will immediately be teleported to the other panel in the pair with his speed preserved.

There are two distinct types of Warp Panel in the game. The first type is blue and features a triangular mark on one end of the panel. When Kirby enters this type of panel, he will emerge from the other traveling in the direction indicated by the triangular mark on that panel. The other type is red and has no triangular mark. As such, they do not affect Kirby's direction as he passes between them. Red panels and blue panels do not link to each-other.

Profiles

  • Kirby's Dream Course instruction booklet - "This lets you move Kirby instantaneously from one panel to another. If the warp panel[sic] has a triangular mark, Kirby moves out in that direction. If the panel is red and has no triangular mark, you can continue to move Kirby out in the same direction that he entered."
