:::He put this on the Discord server:
"Hoy @everyone.
Sorry to ping you, but this is important, so please listen carefully.
On Monday, tacopill is going to begin election processes on WiKirby to appoint a new Editor-in-Chief. Basically, I am retiring from the position, and someone else on the wiki will need to step up to fill in my role.
Additionally, I am leaving this discord server once again, and will be transferring ownership to tacopill, who will decide where it goes from there.
I know this may come as a surprise, but there are many reasons why I am doing this. I know I haven't been the best leader this past half-year, and I deeply apologize to anyone who felt the need to complain about how I ran things. I accept that I've pushed my own agenda on WiKirby a little more rigidly than some would have liked, but now that the community has started to grow into its own, I feel it is time for WiKirby to stand on its own two feet. I hope there are no hard feelings.
I will linger here for a few days to give everyone time to adjust to the news and ask whatever follow-up questions they would like. This time, I do not intend to leave without a trace, and if you want to stay in touch with me, there will be a way to do that.
Thus ends this message. It has been a delight and a privilege to work with WiKirby. May it continue to grow and prosper." {{User:Pinkyoshifan/sig}} 16:27, 25 March 2020 (UTC)

Custom Signatures

Hello, I have a question regarding custom signatures. I thought a custom signature would be cool, so I followed the instructions on the help and policy page, but it doesn't work properly if you look at my signature below. Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks. Cowguy ™ 15:31, 6 October 2019 (UTC)

Looks like your signature is mostly functional, but you need to remove the "subst:" part from your signature code in the preferences to make it work. The help page we have maybe somewhat outdated in that regard. Let me know if that fixes the problem. --Fubaka (talk) 15:46, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
Oh, okay. It's working fine now, but before it wasn't working. Thanks. --Cowguy™ [talk · contribs] 16:02, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
No probs. I will go ahead and update the help page. --Fubaka (talk) 16:03, 6 October 2019 (UTC)

Nevermind

Heart Spears is apparently a Japanese name. RoboWoods6457 (talk) 20:14, 30 October 2019 (UTC)

Even so, it would be nice to have a source for that name. We could make a new page for them if we have that. --Fubaka (talk) 20:15, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
Well in the Kirby wiki, there's a Heart Spear page, and it doesn't have an unofficial name category so it's an official name, though it probably is they forgot it.
Indeed, I wouldn't rely on the Kirby Wikia for official names unless they have a source to cite. --Fubaka (talk) 20:35, 30 October 2019 (UTC)

IP boss health edit reversions getting out-of-control

At least three anonymous users keep doing the boss's health reversions for quite some time. Thankfully, I've rollbacked all the ones done so far, but would it be possible for someone like you to block them or, at the very least, protect the affected pages? Thanks. – Owencrazyboy17 (talk) 20:45, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

I have gone ahead and blocked the offending I.P. addresses. Let me know if anything else crops up. --Fubaka (talk) 21:24, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

Sound files

Hi, sorry I'm having multiple questions, but I'm a new user, so I'm assuming it's forgivable. So, I decided that a sound file I uploaded that's named "Kirby Dance - Kirby Super Star.ogg" had a part at the end with no sound that was too long, so I trimmed the file and uploaded a new version, but the file was exactly the same. Why is this? --Cowguy™ [talk · contribs] 18:29, 3 November 2019 (UTC)

I assume you uploaded a new version of the file? Give it a moment to update. Our cache is slow, so it doesn't necessarily update right away with things like files. --Fubaka (talk) 18:31, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
Okay, that makes sense. Thanks. And yes, I did upload a new version, not a new file. --Cowguy™ [talk · contribs] 19:50, 3 November 2019 (UTC)

New Page

Poyo Fubaka.

Can I add a page called Access ArK (ship)? Thx!

BTW I have a new signature.

Kirby Allies.png201 05:40, 24 November 2019 (UTC)

And also, how can I become part of the staff? I saw that the user that you told me in the "use of upscaled images" on my talk page is now a patroller. Kirby Allies.png201 05:44, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
I would not be opposed to you making such a page. Just make sure you spell it as 'Ark' and use the About template to link the pages together. Also, if you know-how, you should use the Place infobox on that page.
As for entry to staff, I make personal picks as to who gets to become a patroller based on the level of activity, edit count, quality of work, level of community engagement, etc. Iliekchez was promoted rather quickly due to his good work and his engagement on the Discord server. If you continue to work on the wiki and improve your skill, I may consider you for a patroller position in the future. Hope that answered your questions. --Fubaka (talk) 06:00, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
Okay. BTW What is the code for the Discord? Kirby Allies.png201 06:10, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
You may find the server here. Lots of us are there, and I probably would not have become Editor-in-Chief without it. :p --Fubaka (talk) 06:13, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
Thanks! Kirby Allies.png201 06:17, 24 November 2019 (UTC)

Site news mistake

"Site news: The image resolution referendum has concluded! Option 2 is the winner, which means that upscaled images will be allowed on the wiki for general use, so long as they are mot mistaken for vanilla screenshots or sprites, and native resolution images will still be preferred for all front-line content. Thanks to everyone who voted! The image standards will shortly be updated to reflect this recent decision."

Fix it to:

"Site news: The image resolution referendum has concluded! Always with the typos. Thanks for pointing that out. It is fixed now. --Fubaka (talk) 04:24, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Hi

How do i turn a text in bold or italic? —Preceding unsigned comment added by RoboWoodsNew4587 (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments by typing ~~~~!

To make it italic, surround the text with two pairs of commas like this. For bold, use three pairs of commas, like this. You can combine them by using five pairs. Also, don't forget to sign your posts by typing ~~~~. Fubaka (talk) 16:43, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
Also, to my memory, this is all in the help and policy page, which I would suggest you read. --Cowguy™ [talk · contribs] 16:44, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
Not commas, but quotation marks '' - ''italic'', '''bold'''. —Viperision (talk) 17:03, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
No they are commas, these -> " are quotation marks. --Fubaka (talk) 17:05, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
Well not actually commas, but apostrophes. Miswording on my part, but they are still not quotation marks. --Fubaka (talk) 17:06, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, sorry for forgetting the signature RoboYarn65 (talk) 17:21, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

A question

Sorry for disturbing you. I want to ask something about the name of the characters and games. I know that Kirby Star Allies should be the first game that supported traditional Chinese yet I found that there are a lot of pages like Kirby: Planet Robobot or Dark Matter includes Chinese name. Are they in the official name? If not, why there are still non-official names? DaroachAsriel (talk) 01:38, 25 December 2019 (UTC)

Greetings. No need to worry about disturbing me with messages. I am always open to answer questions where I can.
As for the Chinese names, I was not personally responsible for adding them to the Names in other Languages sections. Most of that work was done by former admin FalcoLau, and I trust that he would have found these names from a reliable depository since his first language is Chinese. I cannot personally verify if these other names are official or not, and since this is an English wiki, it is not a high priority for us to verify these names in most cases. If you want to track down sources for these names, then feel free to do so. --Fubaka (talk) 01:49, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for answering my question. I will try my best to verify the name possibly.DaroachAsriel (talk) 02:04, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
Aye. I suspect that many of those names would have been derived from Kirby Star Allies in some way, perhaps due to references in flavor text and other offhand descriptions. That is where I would start. --Fubaka (talk) 02:06, 25 December 2019 (UTC)

First question

Hi, Fubaka! I have a question for you: How come I cannot create any new pages, especially with my user page? How long will this take? What can I do? How many edits and days will it take? I have already confirmed my email address with my account. Please help! --InvincibleGal321 (Talk to me!) 12:06, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

Greetings, InvincibleGal1321. The reason you cannot create new pages yet is that you are not yet autoconfirmed. To become autoconfirmed, you must wait 24 hours after the initial creation of your account and make at least five edits to the wiki. From what I can tell, you have already made at least 5 edits, so the only remaining criteria are for you to wait until 11:44 UTC on January 3rd.
If you are wondering why we have this setup in place, it is to prevent spambots from coming on and filling their user pages with links to illicit content, which used to be a problem for us a year ago. Let me know if you have any other questions, and thank you for joining our wiki. --Fubaka (talk) 18:15, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
I see and thank you! I'm just going for a wiki break. I'm going to go to the shop to get a Fanta drink before I come back online. I'll be back in like 20 minutes. --InvincibleGal321 (Talk to me!) 19:36, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

Hello

I am here for anti-vandalism work. --InvincibleGal321 (Talk to me!) 12:16, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

Sounds good. Up to this point, only Owencrazyboy17, Viperision, and I were really on key regarding anti-vandal work, so it will be nice to have another pair of hands around here. I will continue to watch the wiki on a regular basis, so you won't be alone on that front. --Fubaka (talk) 18:17, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, and that is key! It is kind of frustrating though when you try to revert vandalism on a certain page and then you finally realize that someone else has already beaten you to it. I suppose that as a anti-vandalism team, we work together and that it is not a one-person show. If somebody else beats me to it, tough crap! At least, the vandalism has been dealt with. Have I.P. addresses been forbidden to edit articles? Do you have to have an account to edit pages? Does that break the rules if you don't? --InvincibleGal321 (Talk to me!) 19:16, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
In regard to anonymous edits, we decided as a community a few months back that they would be allowed. We like to generally keep access to the wiki open, and only set up restrictions when necessary. --Fubaka (talk) 19:44, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

Great idea!

You know what? I don't have to wait! Why don't you create my user page for me? That would be helpful and much appreciated! --InvincibleGal321 (Talk to me!) 21:28, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

I'd like you to wait until you are autoconfirmed to create your userpage. The one day it takes is a sort of test of patience. --Fubaka (talk) 22:59, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

🎈🎉🎊🥳🎁🎈🎉🎊🥳🎁🎈🎉🎊🥳🎁🎈🎉🎊🥳🎁🎈🎉🎊🥳🎁

OMG IT'S WIKIRBY'S 10TH ANNIVERSARY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WIKIRBY!

Fubaka, why don't you give some WiKirby cheer?

Kirby Allies.png201 13:26, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Who do you think put up the sitenotice and the news for it?
Rest assured, I still have plans for the wiki. The 4000 page milestone is not an empty gesture. I have a plan to get us there. --Fubaka (talk) 20:08, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
You did. How many pages do we have now?Kirby Allies.png201 06:57, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
You can keep track of the article count from the main page, right under the title "Welcome to WiKirby!". Although 4000 pages doesn't mean much if a lot of them are stubs, so I'm also aiming for less than 100 stubs and/or pages under construction by the time we get there. --Fubaka (talk) 07:01, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

Noob Help

Point me some where else if I shouldn't be asking here or if you're busy, but I was wondering if comments and questions like this count towards the five edits required to be autoconfirmed. I know they do on the Mario Wiki, but I wasn't sure if they would here. Magolor04726 (talk) 21:44, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Magolor04726

If I am not mistaken, any edits should count toward the five, including minor ones such as typo corrections, sandbox edits, and talk page edits. --Fubaka (talk) 21:46, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
Good to know, thanks! Magolor04726 (talk) 21:51, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Magolor04726
No problem. I am here basically all the time, so you can always talk to me if you have issues. --Fubaka (talk) 21:52, 18 February 2020 (UTC)

That makes me wonder, is there a FAQ page or a place where people can go with all their questions, or is this that place? Because I tend to ask a lot of questions. I already searched for one, but nothing came up. Magolor04726 (talk) 23:21, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Magolor04726

We don't really have an F.A.Q. page, because we don't have any F.A.Q.s from users yet. That said, all the information you need is in the Help and policies section. It's a lot to read, so I don't expect you to memorize all the stuff, but it's there for you to reference, and you can ask me about any parts you don't understand. --Fubaka (talk) 00:14, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

Re:Inactivity notice

Yes, I realize I'm a bit unreliable when it comes to activity, so I don't have any intentions of ranking any higher than a patroller if that's all right. By the way, I have a request: can you please delete this revision? Of course, new Adeleine information summoned me, but my finger slipped while editing and I wasn't logged in or fully finished with it. I thought the wiki would have a measure for accidental posting when signed out. AdieuLain (talk) 15:15, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
