Whoa! Tortuilding's shell is a whole building! This big baddie must be some kind of boss for the smaller beasts. It enjoys basking in the sun, so it climbs to high spots and claims the whole area as its territory. (It must take a long time for this critter to get up there...)
— Figure description from Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Tortuilding is a giant tortoise-like creature that uses an entire building as its shell, which appears as an enemy in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Like its smaller cousin Tortorner, Tortuilding sits in place and slowly swivels around in order to try and extend its neck to bite Kirby if he is in range. Tortuilding cannot be inhaled nor harmed by any regular attack. The only thing that can defeat it is by using Cone Mouth to slam the top of its "shell" to break it, though the size of this creature means Kirby needs to get up high before he can land on the shell. When doing this, Tortuilding's body is revealed to be a stubby thing with a light print of skin resembling a bathing suit, similar to an outline of skin that hasn't been tanned.

Tortuilding is found exclusively at the end of the Downtown Grassland stage, but its relative Big Red Tortuilding can be found in The Beast Pack's Final Stand and Forgo Zone. Unlike its smaller cousin, Tortuilding has a few unique interactions with environmental objects. If Kirby is hiding behind a pipe, for instance, Tortuilding will chomp down on the pipe, and get distracted for a moment. A second fragile pipe needs to be bitten by Tortuilding in order to make it weak enough for Kirby to bust open using Cone Mouth. Defeating Tortuilding reveals the golden Waddle Dee cage, and as such, defeating this foe is required to complete the stage.

Tortuilding's name is a portmanteau of the words "tortoise" and "building".
