Top Ride: Grass

"Top Ride: Grass" (capitalized as "Top Ride: GRASS" in the Sound Test) is a theme that plays in Kirby Air Ride.
Composition[edit]
"Top Ride: Grass" is a D major theme in 4/4 that has an upbeat tempo. Due to this course being in a grassland, the song has country-style instruments such as banjos, an accordion, and cowbells in the percussion. It is also one of the shortest themes in the game due to its fast tempo, being only 25 seconds long.
While it's unknown who composed this song in particular, the composition is very similar to "Grass Land (3)" from Kirby's Dream Land 3 (which was composed by Jun Ishikawa) and "Prism Plains" from Kirby: Squeak Squad.
Game appearances[edit]
Kirby Air Ride[edit]
The theme plays in Grass, and is the default theme for it. It can be unlocked in the Sound Test by completing the Checklist objective "(No "Zero Items" rule) Take 1st place without using items!" in the Grass course.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[edit]
"Top Ride: Grass" is the final song in the "Top Ride Medley" in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, where it is made even faster and uses techno instruments. This remix was done by either Shogo Sakai or Megumi Ohara.
Other appearances[edit]
The theme was also present in the Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Festival, as part of the Go Go! Kirby Race Medley. Here, instead of sounding like country music, it sounds more like jazz music.
