Time for the Results

"Time for the Results" is the primary results screen theme from Kirby's Return to Dream Land and several subsequent games. It was composed by Hirokazu Ando.[1]
Composition[edit]
"Time for the Results" is a short track in C major and 4/4, played by a clarinet and accompanying strings. It is based primarily on a "Four Adventurers: Cookie Country" theme, which makes up the first half of the track. Connecting it to the second portion are intonations similar to those heard at the start of the cutscene "Halcandra: A New Enemy". The final phrase, a rising triad played by a flute, is derived from "Green Greens", specifically "Kirby's Triumphant Return", which gives the track the expected triumphant character.
"The Victor Shines" is largely the same as "Time for the Results", albeit significantly slower and with slightly different instruments.
Game appearances[edit]
Kirby's Return to Dream Land / Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[edit]
"Time for the Results" plays during the results screen after clearing a Challenge Stage, thus mirroring said stage's theme, "Time for a Challenge!". Additionally, it plays during the results screen of Scope Shot (a role that is exclusive to the original game, much like the sub-game itself).
"The Victor Shines" plays on the results screen of The Arena when cleared. In the original Wii version, it also plays on The True Arena results screen after clearing it.
Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition[edit]
In Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition, "Time for the Results" reprises its function as a results screen theme for the New Challenge Stages, with "The Victor Shines" playing after Magolor Races.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]
In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, "Time for the Results" and "The Victor Shines" once again play during the results - the former after clearing Kirby Fighters in single-player and the latter after clearing The Arena and The True Arena.
Kirby: Planet Robobot[edit]
In Kirby: Planet Robobot, "Time for the Results" and "The Victor Shines" reprise its main function, used on the results screen of Kirby 3D Rumble - the former after clearing stages 1 and 2, and the latter after clearing stage 3.
Kirby's Blowout Blast[edit]
Being the sequel to the aforementioned Kirby 3D Rumble, Kirby's Blowout Blast reuses "Time for the Results" for its results screen.
Kirby Fighters 2[edit]
Despite the rest of the Kirby Fighters series using different music for the end results, Kirby Fighters 2 plays an arrangement of "The Victor Shines" at the end of chapters 1, 2 and 3 of Story Mode, in addition to the end of Single-Handed Mode.
