This article is about the Sub-Game in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and should not be confused with Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble.
Tilt-and-Roll Kirby is so! Much! Fun! I like to make it tilt...then feel it tumble!
— Elfilin in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Tilt-and-Roll Kirby is one of the three Sub-Games from Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which requires the completion of the level Wondaria Remains and the rescue of 180 Waddle Dees to unlock. It can be played at the Game Parlor which is located next to Waddle Dee's Item Shop. This game involves using the tilt sensor in the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con to roll a ball resembling Kirby to the end of a maze. There are three different game boards, and completing each board is necessary to receive the Game-Shop Waddle Dee figure and attain 100% completion. Doing this also unlocks "Extra Hard" versions of each board.

Gameplay

Tilt the controller to guide the balls to the ★ goal markers! If you successfully reach each goal, you'll win a reward. Try harder difficulties to win greater rewards!
— Tutorial prompts for Tilt-and-Roll Kirby

The premise of Tilt-and-Roll Kirby is simple: Kirby merely needs to tilt the board to get the ball resembling him from the start of the path to the end without falling into a hole or getting hit by a Gordo. In order to roll the ball, the player needs to be using a controller with a tilt sensor in it (such as Joy-Con or the Pro Controller). Each try costs a single Star Coin (5 Star Coins in Extra Hard mode), and each board has a payout for successful completion. The Extra Hard boards also have target times similar to Treasure Road stages which pay out a large amount of Star Coins for meeting, but can only be obtained once per save file. Completing all three boards on Extra Hard difficulty will also net Kirby three Rare Stones.

Boards

The boards in Tilt-and-Roll Kirby are as follows:

Board ★ KatFL Tilt and Roll board 1 screenshot.png KatFL Tilt and Roll board 1 extra hard screenshot.png Star Coin×30 (Normal)
Star Coin×50 (Extra Hard)
Star Coin×500 (Target Time)
A simple board with relatively few hazards. The only real danger on the normal board is the hole in the middle surrounding the goal pad, but this can be avoided by taking the longer way around.

On Extra Hard mode, four Gordos are added to the board, with one moving around the goal pad, and two of the walls keeping Kirby from falling into a pit are removed.

The Extra Hard Target Time is 20 seconds.

Star Coin×80 (Extra Hard)
Star Coin×700 (Target Time)
A symmetrical board with two balls to roll to the end past a couple holes along the way. If either ball falls in, Kirby has to retry.

On Extra Hard mode, three Gordos are added to the board which move back and forth along the paths, and a few guard walls are removed.

The Extra Hard Target Time is 30 seconds.

Star Coin×100 (Extra Hard)
Star Coin×999 (Target Time)
A board featuring a narrow winding path with lots of holes along the way. The path winds back and forth, getting narrower as it goes.

On Extra Hard mode, three Gordos are added to the board which move in set patterns along and between the paths, and the guard walls in the second and final stretches are removed.

The Extra Hard Target Time is 30 seconds.
