The Theater is a menu available in Kirby titles, starting with Kirby's Dream Land 3 which allows the player to re-watch cinematic cut-scenes and other special videos from the game that they've unlocked. The menu itself is usually unlocked once a cut-scene is watched in the main game for the first time.

Often times, special cut-scenes that do not appear in the main game can also be viewed in the Theater, once certain requirements are met. The most prominent examples of this are the Kirby Master videos, which can only be unlocked once 100% completion is met for the games they appear in.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

The Theater menu in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.

In Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, the Theater menu is unlocked upon starting the main game and viewing the opening cut-scene, and adds more as each one is watched in the game for the first time. Notably, unlike when viewed in the main game, theater cut-scenes are bordered by a red curtain and stage, rather than the checkerboard border. The following table lists all of the viewable cut-scenes in the theater, along with notes on them where applicable:

This is the False Ending of the game.
This scene will still be unlocked in the Theater if the true ending was achieved without ever seeing the false one in the main game.
Darkness Calls This scene plays after the battle with Miracle Matter in Ripple Star - Stage 4 if all crystal shards are collected.
It shows Dark Matter being driven out of Ripple Star, and the fully reformed crystal ridding the Queen of the Dark Matter inside her, which flies off and forms into its own star out in space. Kirby calls the Warp Star and he and the rest of his team ride off to face the threat head-on.
Crystal Clear! This scene plays after the battle with in Dark Star.
It shows Dark Star being destroyed as Kirby's team escape on the Warp Star. From there, back in Ripple Star, Kirby and his friends are all awarded with crystal medals by the Queen, and Kirby himself is given a kiss as a reward from Ribbon, which causes him to stumble in his infatuation.
Project K-64 This scene is the staff credits sequence for the game. This will show the false ending credits sequence if the true end has not yet been achieved, and the true sequence otherwise.

Kirby Super Star Ultra

Most of the cutscenes are unlocked after viewing them in-game for the first time. Some cutscenes are only available through special conditions, which will be explained later on in the table below.

Cutscenes in Kirby Super Star Ultra
No.
Name
Description
00 Original Kirby Movies Consists of the original cutscenes from Kirby Super Star. This cutscene can be unlocked after clearing Helper to Hero with every helper.
01 Grand Opening The intro to Kirby Super Star Ultra. Kirby can be seen flying on his Warp Star through space, then Dream Land, and finally through the waters and the skies. This is the first cutscene unlocked from the start in the game.
02 Spring Breeze The intro to Spring Breeze. At night, King Dedede and his soldiers can be seen running off with the stolen food, and Kirby comes by the "spring breeze" to get them back.
03 Tomorrow's Wind Ending to Spring Breeze, which is similar to Kirby's Dream Land's credits screen. King Dedede is launched out of Castle Dedede as he is defeated, and a ballooned Kirby is seen lifting Castle Dedede to return the food to the Dream Landers. The credits also scroll very fast, implying that this is not the end of the game just yet.
04 Dyna Blade Intro cutscene to Dyna Blade. Kirby is seen resting under a tree, when suddenly, Dyna Blade zooms past, causing the tree Kirby is sleeping under and the nearby hills to become sliced and start falling apart. Kirby then gives chase to the rainbow-winged bird to save Dream Land's crops.
05 Live Healthy Ending cutscene to Dyna Blade. Kirby takes care of Dyna Blade's chicks by giving them Whispy Woods's apples, then helping them fly. Kirby then waves goodbye to Dyna Blade and her chicks as they fly off into the sunset.
06 Gourmet Race Intro cutscene to Gourmet Race. Kirby flies to the top of a cliff, while thinking about the food that may appear at its peak. Once he finally settles at the top, he then sees King Dedede, teasing the poor puffball by eating a cake and apple in front of him.
07 Great Cave Offensive Intro cutscene to The Great Cave Offensive. Kirby accidentally falls into a hole while having a pleasant walk, setting the premise for his "great cave offensive".
08 Great Escape-Hero Up High Ending cutscene to The Great Cave Offensive. Kirby manages to escape the large cave system with the Warp Star, then eventually flies across the land on his own. A list of all his obtained treasures can be seen scrolling across the screen.
09 Revenge of Meta Knight Intro cutscene to Revenge of Meta Knight. Meta Knight and his crew prepare the Halberd for takeoff, while Kirby gives chase to the rising battleship on his Warp Star.
10 Halberd Scenes 1-3 A compilation of cutscenes from Revenge of Meta Knight.
  • Scene 1: Kirby is then thrown off the runway by the Halberd's thrusters, with the latter flying off into the sky.

15 Marx's Mad Plan Cutscene in Milky Way Wishes. Kirby goes to the Galactic Nova to get the sun and moon to stop fighting. However, Marx knocks Kirby out of the way, and reveals his true intentions to control Pop Star.
16 To the Battlefield Cutscene in Milky Way Wishes that plays right before the final battle against Marx. Kirby breaks through the Galactic Nova with the Starship, and flies towards the battlefield, with the Starship transformed into a Warp Star, to prepare for the final battle against Marx.
17 Kirby's Triumphant Return Ending cutscene to Milky Way Wishes. Marx is sent flying into the Galactic Nova, which finally explodes with him. Kirby flies back on his Warp Star back to Pop Star, with the Sun and Moon flying in harmony. Finally, the phrase "THE END" appears on the touch screen, signifying that this is the end of the game, at least for now.
18 Staff Credits Staff credits to Kirby Super Star Ultra. Kirby is seen sleeping in his house, and the camera pans up to the sky as the credits roll. Unlike in Kirby Super Star, the small Kirby portraits on the credits text are not shown, and a lot of small pictures depicting Kirby's previous adventures appear.
19 Revenge of the King Intro cutscene to Revenge of the King. An ominous-looking King Dedede can be seen with his Spear Waddle Dee guards in his dimmed throne room. The camera zooms out to show Castle Dedede being wreathed in stormy clouds with Kabula circling around it.

Dedede, but Kabula's cannonballs fly across the sky, before one eventually hits the Warp Star, causing Kirby to fall down. The Sparkling Stars he has collected in prior levels then coalesce into the Starship, with Kirby using it to continue his mission and fight Kabula.
21 The King and the Sun Ending cutscene that plays after Masked Dedede is defeated in Revenge of the King. A defeated King Dedede and his Waddle Dees walk in the same desert that Kirby and Wheelie drove through in Revenge of Meta Knight. Notably, the credits appear at a slower pace than in the Spring Breeze credits, and the small Kirby portraits appear on the bottom left of the touchscreen.
22 The Arena Intro cutscene to The Arena. A bronze trophy appears as the grand prize, then transitions to Fighter Kirby doing his fighting moves, then lands on a grassy ground and turning to face against Marx in his true form.
23 Helper to Hero The intro cutscene to Helper to Hero. It plays out similarly to The Arena with a few differences:
  • A silver trophy with a large star medallion appears as the grand prize.
  • Knuckle Joe appears in place of Fighter Kirby, to signify the Helper-only nature of this game.
  • The ground Knuckle Joe lands on is made of gray bricks, and he faces Wham Bam Jewel instead of Marx.
24 Meta Knightmare Ultra The intro cutscene to Meta Knightmare Ultra. The camera pans across a cliff that Meta Knight is resting on, with dark, moving clouds across Dream Land. Meta Knight then reveals his wings, raises the Galaxia, and flies off for a worldwide adventure.

27 Knight's Story Scenes 7-8 A compilation of cutscenes from Meta Knightmare Ultra featuring alternate versions of the cutscenes from Revenge of Meta Knight and Milky Way Wishes.
  • Scene 7: Meta Knight flies off the falling Halberd, which he destroyed by himself for some reason.
  • Scene 8: Meta Knight flies into space to seek the planets of the Milky Way and their energies.
28 Galactic Knight Cutscene in Meta Knightmare Ultra. Using the energy collected from the planets in Milky Way Wishes, Meta Knight summons the Galactic Nova once more, reforming itself. After wishing to fight the strongest warrior in the galaxy, Meta Knight sees Nova summoning a giant interdimensional hole from which Galacta Knight is summoned, and both of the knights fly down to start fighting.
29 Knight's Triumphant Return Ending cutscene to Meta Knightmare Ultra. A defeated Galacta Knight pinballs across space, before eventually breaking into a bright explosion. The rest follows the same as Kirby's Triumphant Return, except with Meta Knight in place of Kirby.
30 Hidden Staff Credits The alternate credits to Kirby Super Star Ultra. It begins with the camera panning over the same giant cliff from the intro cutscene, then Meta Knight walks towards the edge, covered in his own cape, while the Galaxia rests on the ground. The rest of the credits is the same, however images of Meta Knight's adventures appear to scroll in the sky.
31 Fly! Meta Knight Alternate opening cutscene to Kirby Super Star Ultra that features Meta Knight in place of Kirby. This cutscene may play after Meta Knightmare Ultra is completed.
32 The TRUE Arena The intro cutscene to The True Arena. It plays out similarly to The Arena with a few differences:
  • A golden trophy with three stars and intricate depictions appears as the grand prize.
  • Hammer Kirby appears and does his fighting moves, instead of Fighter Kirby.
  • The ground Kirby lands on is rocky black and starts to crumble, and he faces off against the Final Four (Masked Dedede, Galacta Knight, Wham Bam Jewel, and a more grotesque-looking Marx).
33 Marx Soul Appears Cutscene exclusive to The True Arena. A flashback depicting the events of Kirby's Triumphant Return appears, then transitions to a cutscene where Marx is seen floating in space with the debris of Galactic Nova. Eventually, some of Nova's leftover energy and debris is absorbed by Marx, transforming him into the deadly Marx Soul. He then flies off the screen for the true final battle.
34 Special-Edition Blooper Reel A collection of bloopers featuring different failed takes on the cutscenes for each Main Game. It can be unlocked by clearing The True Arena for the first time. Each blooper ends with a laugh track sample. Notably, this movie uses a slow remix of the Gourmet Race intro cutscene theme.
  • Spring Breeze: Kirby jumps on the Warp Star to go after King Dedede and his soldiers, but misses it and crashes, with the Warp Star continuing to float in place.
  • Dyna Blade: As Dyna Blade passes by while Kirby is sleeping under a tree, the latter is hit by a falling caterpillar from the tree, and he starts to panic and faints.
  • Gourmet Race: As King Dedede tries to juggle the cake and apple to eat them, he accidentally drops them on the ground, and is shocked at the mess he made.
  • The Great Cave Offensive: When Kirby falls into the cave, he then tries to get a sense of his surroundings before being accidentally hit by his backpack, knocking him back asleep with the scene fading out in a disorienting manner.
  • Great Escape-Hero Up High: Kirby flies out of the cave with the Warp Star as per usual, only to be blocked off by a stationary Rocky on the pile of rocks, causing him to fall back into the cave again.
  • Halberd Scene 1: Kirby flies for the wings after destroying the bow of the Halberd, but is hit by one of the battleship's debris and is knocked off his Warp Star.
  • Friends and Sun: The cutscene begins as per usual, but only Wheelie manages to land successfully on the cliff, and Kirby accidentally falls into the ocean below.
  • Milky Way Wishes: The cutscene begins as per usual, but Marx accidentally slips off his ball and falls on the ground, with Kirby and his buddies turning to notice.
  • Tomorrow's Wind/Revenge of the King (Masked Dedede's defeat): Hammer Kirby is knocked out of Castle Dedede instead of King Dedede, and the movie pauses as he nearly hits the screen, then ends the movie with an iris-out transition.
35 Kirby Master! Special cutscene that plays upon 100% completion of the game, where the major characters of the game watch and applaud as Kirby and two Waddle Dees dance on the screen.

King Dedede also appears as a boss in this "cutscene". This cutscene also uses whoever was last used to complete Story Mode.

The credits to Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go!, featuring a pink aesthetic and an emphasis on a heart-themed motif. KSA Theater preview 9.png
The Happiest Curtain Call(?)
The credits to Heroes in Another Dimension, featuring a galactic aesthetic and an emphasis on a star-themed motif. This "cutscene" depends on the outcome the player has received upon completing this mode.
  • If the player gets the False Ending (ranks F to B), an arrangement of the Bad Ending theme from Kirby's Dream Land 3 (known as THE END...? in Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack) plays, King Dedede is fought in the credits, and the ending caption after the credits says "The End...?". The name of the cutscene in the Theater also displays a question mark.
  • If the player gets the Happy Ending (ranks A to S), an arrangement of various credits themes from the more recent Kirby games (known as Memories of the Grand Finale in Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack) plays, Marx will appear as a surprise boss in the credits, the thumbnail for this movie on the Theater will display The Three Mage-Sisters in place of Marx, and the ending caption will say "Happy Ending!"
