The Team Cannon is a special item from Kirby Fighters Deluxe that appears only in Team Battles. It allows a team of Kirbys to fire a powerful laser blast at any other Kirbys standing in the beam's path.

The Team Cannon's appearance resembles that of the Combo Cannon from Kirby Super Star, resembling the top turret with blue & orange rings and a cyan center. The end of the turret has two prongs on the side, and has an orange stripe going across.

UseEdit

Occasionally during a Team Battle, the Team Cannon may randomly appear on any part of the stage. The Team Cannon fires small energy shots when it is held by one Kirby. Provided that the Kirbys are on the same team, the Team Cannon allows them to stack on top of each other to charge the cannon. If the Team Cannon is used for too long without charging it, it will start to flash and eventually disappear.

Once the Team Cannon is fully charged, the bottom Kirby must press B (automatic if it's a CPU or after waiting for a while) when the Team Cannon is charged to fire a powerful laser blast to deal large sums of damage to the Kirbys on the opposing team who are standing in the laser beam's path. While two Kirbys on the same team are sufficient enough to charge the cannon (which shoots out a regular blue laser beam), three Kirbys on the same team can use the cannon, shooting an even bigger, more powerful, purple laser beam.

The amount of damage the Team Cannon can deal to a player depends on the latter's Handicap, as with most attacks and items.

Other appearancesEdit

Aside from its appearance in Kirby Fighters Deluxe, the Team Cannon is referenced in the following games:

TriviaEdit

  • Team Cannon's charge beam attack doesn't stop the timer in Single Player Mode even though everything else becomes still apart from the Team Cannon Kirbys.
  • The music used for firing the Team Cannon's laser beam is a shortened version of "Bring On the Super Ability" from Kirby's Return to Dream Land.
