Talk:Waddle Doo

About the split request

This article is currently undergoing a nomination for featurement, so we'll have to deal with this as quickly as possible. Apparently AwsomeKirbyStarAllies (Talk) requested that the article be split into Waddle Doo (anime), Waddle Doo (Epic Yarn), and Parasol Waddle Doo. Here's my views on that:

-We have Parasol Waddle Dee, so it would only be consistent if we had an article on Parasol Waddle Doo. I support this.

-Waddle Doo (anime) is a unique character who, while covered just fine on this page, would benefit from having his own article. I also support this.

-Waddle Doo (Epic Yarn), while stated in-game to be fakes of the real thing, are not unique characters, behave the same way as the real thing, and the real thing doesn't appear in that game at all. That's covered just fine on this article, and I do not support it being split.

As I said, there isn't really any need to remove content from the Waddle Doo page as it is now, but I do support the creation of those extra pages, where the information can be expanded further. Feel free to do so at any time. --Fubaka (talk) 02:58, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

At this point, anime Waddle Doo and Parasol Waddle Doo have been split, so the only one left would be the Epic Yarn one. Personally, I think that this last one shouldn't be split; giving Dedede and Meta Knight separate pages for their yarn designs is already pushing it, but to give a yarn design of a generic enemy who behaves identically to the normal design a separate article seems like regurgitated info and nothing more, and there's no real benefit to splitting it. I think that makes sense. If a Yarn Waddle Doo article was made, so would a Yarn Waddle Dee, Bronto Burt, etc. When they all are the exact same as their normal counterparts except for them being made of yarn. --JRJ007 12:16, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
