What is considered a Patch?[edit]

As I was looking through this article I saw multiple points that threw me off on what is considered a Patch. Originally I just thought a Patch was the items you use to increase your stats for your machine but in the last paragraph the article talks about some of the items found in red boxes like the Copy Ability panels. If Patches refer to the items only in blue boxes(minus food) than why are these being noted here? Additionally the article goes over "Temporary Patches" which are found in green boxes. I can't find any conformation if these are Patches or not and if they should be considered them. I'd like to know what is considered a Patch and if the temporary Patches should be split into their own articles, like the other items. NVS Pixel (talk) 18:26, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

At least according to the manual, there's no "Patch" term to refer to any of these, just "Items" in general. However they all have names that end with "Patch" so I think it's fine to group them here, since they have similar effects and what changes is the stats they change. However, everything else is probably best to not be grouped as a Patch. I'm unsure what to do with the temporary ones, though. - Gigi (talkedits) 18:57, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
Okay, I'll remove mention of Copy Abilities panels for now. As for the temporary patches I'm not too sure what to do with them but I might work on a draft for them since the manual doesn't consider them patches. Thank you for your help. NVS Pixel (talk) 15:45, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Splitting the patches from "Temporary Patches"[edit]

I'm honestly not too sure on how I should open this so I think I'll get straight to the point: I think the "Temporary Patches" from this article are not considered patches and they should be split into their own item articles like most other items from Kirby Air Ride. All of the other items from green boxes have their own pages dedicated towards them and I think these should have the same, especially since they aren't considered patches. I have created a draft of all three of the Mach items which can be views on my sandbox. Please let me know if these drafts should be moved into being a main page and feel free to correct any error or add any content to the drafts. NVS Pixel (talk) 02:35, 4 February 2024 (UTC)

For the reasons you mentioned above, I support the split, but I would wait for another reply (if anyone else is at all knowledgeable about this game). ShadowKirby (t/c) a.k.a. your new overlord ShadowMagolor 07:24, 4 February 2024 (UTC)
Personally, I feel like the three of them would be better on one unified page since they're as similar to each other as the regular patches are to each other. That being said, I'm not sure what the unified page name could be (besides just "Mach" but that's not very useful) and the drafts for them separate look good, so I would be fine with splitting as proposed. ---PinkYoshiFan 14:14, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
