Talk:Kracko orb

Merge?

As this item has the same Japanese name as Kracko, and judging from what the page says, it's also pretty much Kracko. As it doesn't have much text, merging would be quite easy. On the other hand, since this is a very different appearance of him (not being a boss), and we have pages of King Dedede and Meta Knight split too, I'm not exactly sure about it. Thoughts? I'll lay out a couple points in order to spell out my opinion on the matter:

• The King Dedede and Meta Knight Air Ride pages are separate mainly because of their length and detail, which would be a bit unwieldy if those were merged back into the main character pages as sections.
• The item referred to as "Gold Spikes" in-game, but which in fact are just large Gordos does not currently have its own page, and is just part of the Gordo page currently, mainly due to lack of detail, similar to the current case with this page. Arguably Gold Spike deserves to have its own page more than this one does if only because it has an official name in-game.
• Generally speaking, I think a more important consideration regarding whether to merge or split is whether or not the resulting pages are complete thoughts in their own right, which I think takes precedence over their status as distinct entities in-game. As of right now, the Kracko orb page is a full thought about the item, but it is a bit anemic, barely escaping stub status.

To conclude, I would advise that if there is a way to expand this page to make it more detailed and interesting, then it should be kept as a separate page (though I imagine you'd need to at least double its length in the process). Otherwise, go ahead and merge into Kracko. --Samwell (talk) 15:27, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
