Quick Fall[edit]

This page mentions that Kirby can quick fall in this game by pressing down on the control stick twice. But this doesn't seem to be working when I do it. Is it perhaps triggered some other way, or is the effect just really minor? Alex the weeb (talk) 15:48, 26 February 2023 (UTC)

Another way you can do it is by holding the joystick down instead of pressing twice. (At least for me. No idea if it works for anyone else)~☆Starvoid☆ (t · c) 15:50, 26 February 2023 (UTC)
Ok, I think I see the issue now. Quick Falling in this game doesn't behave the way it is described on the Quick Fall article. The Quick Fall article implies that Kirby's max falling speed when using Quick Fall is higher than his regular max falling speed. But at least in this game that isn't the case. "Quick Fall" in this game simply instantly brings Kirby up to his max fall speed, whereas I was expecting it to cause Kirby to fastfall like in Super Smash Bros. (since the article makes that comparison). It also seems that the other details about Quick Fall are also just things that occur during a regular fall assuming Kirby has reached his max fall speed, with the exception of falling through platforms automatically, which isn't a thing at all in this game. Kirby will only drop through a platform if you continue to hold down, at which point he will have to accelerate to his top fall speed again. Likewise, he also cannot Quick Fall out of a float without manually cancelling the float first. Alex the weeb (talk) 23:46, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
