"Mosugaba's song" split?[edit]

I think I substantially agree with the idea, although would like to hear if any arguments against the split exist.

I personally disagree with the re-splitting of lyrics into separate tabs for Japanese/romaji/English but it's something that probably needs wider discussion as there's inconsistency on how this is handled. Welcome to the New World! puts all of those under 'Japanese' while Green Tree Memories from Kirby has a separate tab for each. —willidleaway [talk | edits] 15:53, 17 May 2023 (UTC)

I'm the one who put the split template in the first place so obviously I do think that it's best to split the page into character and music, since both topics are substantial enough (music with fewer versions gets pages too lol). As far as tabs are concerned, I guess it's best to keep languages within one tab and search under since Japanese vs Romaji doesn't compare to, say, Italian vs French or something. Just my uneducated opinion though. ShadowKirby (t/c) a.k.a. your new overlord ShadowMagolor 15:59, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
I agree with the split; would maybe be against it if the song was only in the anime but it has been in at two games as well. As for how to handle the tabs, the format currently in this page is the "historical" one all songs used to have. I know The Dream Discoveries Tour used to have a format like that as well, but since there were lots of languages and then translations to English to have, it was eventually also changed. I think if the song is only in Japanese (such as Kirby ★ March) the current format used is fine, personally; issues only start to happen when we have multiple languages to translate to (such as in Kirby: Right Back at Ya! (song)). - Gigi (talkedits) 16:07, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
What name would we want for the title of the split music page? A conjectural one like Mosugaba's Song or an official one like Desert Scorcher? I guess we'd probably follow Gourmet Race: Intro's example and go for the former. —willidleaway [talk | edits] 16:04, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
Yeah, was going to mention that example. Probably best to go with "Mosugaba's song" and note that that is conjectural. - Gigi (talkedits) 16:07, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
Agreed ShadowKirby (t/c) a.k.a. your new overlord ShadowMagolor 16:23, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
Agree with splitting to Mosugaba's Song. ---PinkYoshiFan 18:12, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
Ditto (I also agree). --Paistrie (talk) 19:10, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
Agreed as well. There's enough information and arrangements sufficient enough to split off into its own music article.  KatFL language C.svgKatFL language Y.svgKatFL language O.svgKatFL language N.svg (profile ::: talk) 13:50, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
Consensus looks to favour a split but I've (entirely belatedly) advertised the discussion on the WiKirby:Current events page just in case. —willidleaway [talk | edits] 01:38, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
Went ahead and made a draft here for the split page since the consensus seems to be splitting. ---PinkYoshiFan 18:37, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
Draft has been moved to mainspace, I left a section on this page with {{Main}}. ---PinkYoshiFan 16:12, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
