Split Dream Rod[edit]
Right now, Dream Rod redirects here, and everything about Dream Rods is covered here. While this may appear to be fine at first, since there is overlap, there are multiple issues I have with this approach:
- A Dream Palace is a location, while a Dream Rod is an item. I don't think it's proper to cover both in the same page. In particular, right now in KSA's navbox Dream Palaces are all the way to the bottom in "Extra", and not in stages. At core, they are stages.
- While there are no Dream Palaces without Dream Rods, there are Dream Rods without Dream Palaces, namely in Guest Star and Heroes in Another Dimension. So, in this page, it would be fairly incorrect to claim in the Dream Palace page that Dream Rods appear in Guest Star/HiAD when the palaces don't appear at all. This in particular relates to the theme music, that is of the palaces, not of the rods.
- Due to all the above, right now the page has confusing scope. It talks about unlocking Dream Palaces, and right after what Dream Friends can be summoned, which has nothing to do with the unlock requirements of palaces, it's about how the rods work.
I do realize one issue here: there is not a lot to say about Dream Palaces. However, I don't think that is reason enough to make a page named after them cover more something else. After all, we have similar pages like Warp Star Station that are also short and similar to this one. So I don't see the problem with splitting, in the end.

- Personally, what it seems like is that we have things inverse of how they should be. What if we move the whole page to Dream Rod, keep the Dream Palace in the same article, and have details on that? I saw that it was mentioned that there are times in literature where the Palace appears on its own, but if the page would struggle to make the content limit, I don't think a split is the right move. ~ by Waddlez! 00:13, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Agree that it should be split, I think that it could be able to be long enough. Also, in addition to the rod appearing without the palace, does the palace appear without the rod in the second KSA novel?
