How do we know that they weren't just looking at Kirby's Rainbow Resort?[edit]

Mmm, you might have a point. Seems JP Kirby Wiki has a more elaborate name. Will check the Kirby Character Encyclopedia to confirm. --Samwell (talk) 02:44, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
I am confused about this comment, the English name "Bun" comes from the Triple Deluxe Keychain, like the page points out. - Gigi (talkedits) 02:53, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
Is that KRR page where the localization team got it from? BooDestroyer (talk)
Ah right, I forgot that was a thing. Never mind me. then. --Samwell (talk) 02:57, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
It could be a coincidence, since its Japanese name is エイブン (Eibun) and "Bun" is short for "bunny", so I guess it's not odd the official localization decided to go with "Bun" all things considered. Regardless, "Bun" is the official English name. - Gigi (talkedits) 03:03, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
So how did KRR know about this before Triple Deluxe? BooDestroyer (talk)
They didn't know, it was probably a coincidence. Anyway, that is not something to discuss in the wiki's talk page. Unless you have anything to comment on this page in particular, there is no need to continue a discussion here. - Gigi (talkedits) 03:19, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
To satisfy your curiosity, WillIdleAway checked the Squeak Squad game files and the enemy is called "Bun" there. That is likely where they got it from. Although, again, not like that matters much now when we have an official English name in a game. - Gigi (talkedits) 03:26, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
