This article is about the sword-wielding foe with the segmented helmet, and should not be confused with Blade Knight.

Sword Knight is a recurring enemy in the Kirby series, wearing green or purple armTemplate:Or and wielding a spiked blade either white or golden in hue. It has appeared in various games, and will grant Kirby the Sword Copy Ability when swallowed. Sword Knights are normally found in random areas, and are usually ranked as minor enemies. It also appears in Kirby: Right Back at Ya! as an ally and a servant of Meta Knight.

Kirby's Adventure / Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land

KA Sword Knight sprite.png Sword Knight first appeared in Kirby's Adventure for the NES. Here, it attacks Kirby with its sword, and can block most projectiles thrown at it. Kirby is granted the Sword Copy Ability when he swallows one. Blade Knight, a similar foe, also makes its first appearance in this game. Both Knights behave in the same way.

In Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, Sword Knight can be found in every major area of the Mirror World except for Radish Ruins.

Kirby Super Star Ultra

File:SwordSSU.png In Kirby Super Star Ultra, Sword Knight appears as a normal enemy, but only in Revenge of the King, where he replaces Blade Knight. Sword Knight blocks projectiles and is much more aggressive than Blade Knight. Kirby is granted the Sword Copy Ability when he swallows one. However, Kirby is unable to call on Sword Knight to be a Helper. He can only call for Blade Knight. In Revenge of the King, Sword Knight appears in the stages Purple Plants, Crash Clouds, and The Revenge.

In Meta Knightmare Ultra, Meta Knight can call on a Sword Knight to assist him. It possesses most of Meta Knight's basic abilities and moves. By default, Sword Knight is AI-controlled, but a second player is able to control it. Whether a Sword Knight or Blade Knight is summoned is randomized.

Sword Knight also appears in Helper to Hero, with orange armor and a blue and red torso. Unlike Blade Knight, it is able to use an upwards-thrust attack.

Kirby Mass Attack

File:KMA Sword Knight Sprite.png Sword Knight appears in the Kirby Mass Attack Sub-Game Kirby Quest, alongside Blade Knight in Stage 29 and with Blade Knight and Meta Knight in Stage 39. Sword Knight has 750 HP, slightly more than Blade Knight's 720 HP, which may be a nod to how of the two, Sword Knight is generally considered to be slightly stronger.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe

In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Sword Knight appears as a randomly appearing keychain, using his sprite from Kirby's Adventure.

In Kirby: Right Back at Ya!

Main article: Sword Knight (anime character)

In Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, Sword Knight is an assistant of Meta Knight, and has the same basic job as Blade Knight. In the English dub, he speaks with a British cockney accent, and is the only one of the two who can be understood clearly.
