A Sun Stone is a collectible item found in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. Sun Stones emanate the power of the sun and are scattered around the kingdom of Floralia. Kirby must collect them to grow the Dreamstalk from one floating island to the next. Collecting a certain amount of Sun Stones is required to face the boss in each level, and collecting all of the stones in the main stages of each level is required to open that level's EX stage. There are 100 total Sun Stones in the game, and collecting them all rewards Kirby with the Queen Sectonia Keychain.

The Sun Stone resembles a floating blue gemstone surrounded by a gold floral crest.

There are also five Grand Sun Stones, obtained from each of the first five bosses, which are what drive the Dreamstalk's growth to each subsequent level.

Each stage contains anywhere from 1 to 4 Sun Stones. Grand Sun Stones, which are found in Boss Stages, are not counted here.

For information on how to obtain each stone, see the individual stage pages for each level.

Trivia

  • After they are collected, Sun Stones will appear greyed-out if they are revisited in the stage. Collecting them again yields Kirby 10 Point Stars.
  • It is suggested in an official Miiverse post that the Sun Stones were created by "someone who dislikes the sun" to trap the Sun's energy, and thus cause the plants in Floralia (specifically the Dreamstalk) to stop growing.[1]
