— Description of Sparky from the Kirby: Triple Deluxe website

Sparky is an enemy that has appeared in several games of the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Adventure. It is a drop-shaped life form, usually green or turquoise in color, with a pair of oval, black eyes and two orbs on stalks, (which are presumably hands, but resembled eyes in its original artwork) which it uses to produce electricity to defend itself with. Sparky typically either sits in place or hops around at a decent pace. In all its appearances, it contains the Spark ability.

Kirby's Adventure/Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land

File:Adventure Sparky.png Sparky made its first appearance in Kirby's Adventure, first appearing along with Waddle Doo and Hot Head in Stage 1 of Vegetable Valley. Here is where its basic look and behaviTemplate:Or was established. Sparky comes in several colTemplate:Ors depending on the level (blue, orange, green, etc.). As with most other enemies, Sparky also appears in Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land.

Kirby's Pinball Land

Sparky appears as one of the enemies in Poppy Brothers' Land. It can appear in the 'thought bubble' on the left-hand Kirby on the second level, and will emerge if that Kirby is hit during that moment. If Sparky is then hit, a bonus is rewarded to the player.

Kirby's Dream Course

KDCSparky.png Sparky appears in this game as one of the enemies that can be defeated on courses to open up the hole. Kirby merely needs to run into one to defeat it, and gain the Spark ability in the process.

Kirby's Dream Land 2 & Kirby's Dream Land 3

File:KDL2Sparky.png File:DL3 Sparky Sprite.png Sparky appears in both of these titles, serving the same purpose as it did in Kirby's Adventure, though it is not as common as before. In Kirby's Dream Land 2, Sparky is worth 400 points when defeated.

Kirby's Block Ball

Sparky appears in this game, and is one of the few enemies which can provide a copy ability upon defeat. They are worth 1000 points when defeated, by bumping into them.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

K64 Sparky Sprite.png Sparky made its debut appearance in 3-D here. It is the primary provider of the Spark ability, though it shares that power with many other enemies. Sparky appears on the 73rd Enemy Info Card.

Sparky should not be confused with the similarly-named, but very different in character enemy Spark-i.

Kirby & The Amazing Mirror & Kirby: Squeak Squad

When possessed by Ghost Kirby, Sparky can be made to hop short distances, jump further, and produce its spark barrier, though it is far weaker than Kirby's version.

Locations

In Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, Sparky can be found in every major area of the Mirror World.

Kirby: Canvas Curse

Sparky can be found in this title. It provides the Spark ability when Kirby does a Dash Attack into it or hits it after it is stunned.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land & Kirby's Dream Collection

File:Sparky RtDL.jpg
Sparky as it appears in Kirby's Return to Dream Land.

Sparky returns in these games for its second 3-D appearance, and the first in over 11 years. It acts much more like its 2-D counterpart in Kirby's Adventure and related games. In Kirby's Dream Collection, Sparky can be found in the New Challenge Stages as a common enemy.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe & Kirby: Planet Robobot

Sparky returns in these games, acting much like it did in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, though with a slightly updated look.

A Keychain of Sparky can be collected in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, depicting its sprite from Kirby's Adventure. This keychain is randomly-obtained.
