Slippy[1] is an enemy which first appeared in Kirby's Adventure and has since reappeared in three other games, including the aforementioned game's remake Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby Super Star and its remake. In every game that it has appeared in, Slippy resembles a round, usually orange frog with two feet. Slippy also appears in two spin-off titles: Kirby's Pinball Land and Kirby's Block Ball.

In every main series game that Slippy has appeared in, it is usually swimming around in the water. Due to its amphibian nature, Slippy is also capable of moving around on land, where it hops around, injuring Kirby upon contact. Slippy does not provide a Copy Ability when swallowed by Kirby.

Game appearances

Kirby's Adventure / Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land

Slippy makes its debut appearance in Kirby's Adventure and appears again in the remake. Slippy is capable of swimming underwater, moving in short bursts. When on land, it hops around in high bounds, making it somewhat more dangerous than most other foes.

Kirby's Pinball Land

In Kirby's Pinball Land, Slippy appears in Wispy-Woods Land, up at the top of the board, where it frequently changes places with an item that changes based on how many Cappies are left. If Kirby moves toward Slippy, it will sometimes hop over him. If collided with, Slippy won't be defeated, but it will be worth 3000 points.

Kirby's Dream Land 2

Slippy has a slight redesign in Kirby's Dream Land 2 and is named Sir Slippy, but otherwise serves the same purpose.

Kirby's Block Ball

In Kirby's Block Ball, Slippy is a common enemy that can be found moving along the blocks. It is worth 600 points when defeated and will drop a food item.

Its in-game sprite is ripped from Kirby's Dream Land 2, but its artwork as seen in the manual is recolored from Kirby's Adventure.[2]

Kirby Super Star / Kirby Super Star Ultra

Slippy appears in this game and its remake, though it is not particularly common. It has the same basic look and function that it did in Kirby's Adventure.
