“Just like my blade, I keep coming back!” What’s inside that armor? Classified! Just like his golden blade, this guy returns to the fight again and again. Pluckiness is the best armor of all!
— Pause screen caption for Sir Kibble, Kirby Star Allies

Sir Kibble is a commonly recurring enemy throughout the Kirby series that has appeared in many games, including spinoffs. Sir Kibble himself has never possessed an incredibly major role in any specific game, only appearing as a basic enemy or as a helper, most notably giving Kirby the Cutter Copy Ability when inhaled and swallowed. Sir Kibble's appearance is that of a round, spherical, metallic suit of armTemplate:Or that shrouds whatever may be inside in complete darkness. The top part of his helmet is a detachable blade-like weapon which he uses for all methods of attack. When Sir Kibble guards, he closes his helmet.

Sir Kibble mainly attacks Kirby by taking the blade off his helmet and hurling it at him. It then returns to him, similarly to a boomerang. If Kirby happens to be above his eyesight, Sir Kibble will usually jump before throwing his blade. Sir Kibble is often the main representative of the Cutter ability, and as such, serves as the helper for that ability in both Kirby Super Star/Template:KSSU and Kirby Star Allies.

A larger cousin to Sir Kibble called Kibble Blade serves as a Mid-Boss in a number of games in the series. Kibble Blade and Sir Kibble share many similar characteristics, but Kibble Blade has more detailed armTemplate:Or and defaults to an iron gray colTemplate:Or.

Game appearances

This article or section is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it's being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.
No reason has been specified.

Kirby's Dream Land

File:KDLSirKibble.png Sir Kibble made his debut in Kirby's Dream Land. He mainly sits in place and throws his cutter boomerangs at regular intervals. Since Copy Abilities would not debut until the next game in the series, inhaling and swallowing Sir Kibble here yields nothing except for 1000 points.

In the Extra Game, Sir Kibble is replaced by Boomer.

Kirby's Adventure/Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land

File:Adventure SirKibble.png Sir Kibble appears in Kirby's Adventure and its remake, now providing the Cutter ability for the first time. This title introduced Sir Kibble's tendency to jump over its own blade when trying to hit Kirby from behind.

Kirby's Dream Land 2

Kirby Super Star/Kirby Super Star Ultra

File:SpriteSirKibbleKSS.png File:SirkibbleSSU.png Sir Kibble appears in Kirby Super Star and its remake. Here, he can be summoned as a helper by transforming a Cutter ability hat. As a helper, Sir Kibble gains access to all of Cutter Kirby's moves, and also gains access to the coveted Infinity Jump, but he has less overall stamina than the pink puffball.

Sir Kibble also has his own slot in the sub-game Helper to Hero.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

K64 Sir Kibble Sprite.png Sir Kibble, again referred to as Sirkibble in the English version, makes his 3D debut in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. He has a habit of holding still and launching a cutter from either a grounded position or after making a jump. Kirby can swallow him, and then hold the hapless knight over his head to damage foes using Sirkibble's bladed helmet.

Sirkibble appears on the 29th Enemy Info Card.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land

File:Sir Kibble RtDL.jpg
Sir Kibble in Kirby's Return to Dream Land.

Sir Kibble makes a reappearance in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and can be seen often in stages, acting as he always has. Sir Kibble's larger cousin Kibble Blade debuts in this game.

Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition

In addition to his appearances in the games featured, Sir Kibble also appears in New Challenge Stages as a common enemy to be overcome, taking its appearance and function from Kirby's Return to Dream Land.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe & Kirby: Planet Robobot

Sir Kibble appears in both of these games, largely unchanged from Kirby's Return to Dream Land, though now able to throw his cutter boomerang between the foreground and background.

In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Sir Kibble appears as two randomly-obtained Keychains; one depicting him as his sprite from Kirby's Dream Land 2 (referred to as Sir Kibble rather than Load Kibble in the English version, though the Japanese version retains that name), and another depicting his sprite from Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land.

In Kirby: Planet Robobot, Sir Kibble appears as a randomly-obtained sticker, depicting artwork of him from Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land.

Kirby Battle Royale

Although not appearing in Kirby Battle Royale as a character, one of Cutter Kirby's alternate headgear resembles Sir Kibble.

Kirby Star Allies

Sir Kibble returns in Kirby Star Allies, gaining a much glossier look to his armTemplate:Or. As in Kirby Super Star (Ultra), Sir Kibble can be recruited as a friend, gaining full access to Cutter Kirby's abilities and also gaining the ability to infuse his blade with one of the five Power Effects.

Sir Kibble also gains his own adventure in Guest Star Sir Kibble Cutting in Style, and is selectable in The Ultimate Choice.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

Sir Kibble appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U:

SirKibbleTrophyWiiU.png "Wearing a suit of armor that looks like a helmet (or is it a helmet that looks like a suit of armor?), little, round Sir Kibble doesn't seem all that different from Kirby in stature. But if you peer under his visor hoping to catch a glimpse of a pair of cute little eyes, you might be unnerved to find nothing but a dark void..." "Wearing a suit of armour that looks like a helmet (or is it a helmet that looks like a suit of armour?), little round Sir Kibble doesn't seem all that different from Kirby in stature. But if you peer under his visor, hoping to catch a glimpse of a pair of cute little eyes, you might be unnerved to find nothing but an empty blackness... "

Trivia

  • Sir Kibble is one of the few enemies in the series who has appeared in every single main series Kirby game, but has not appeared in any of the standalone spinoffs outside of cameos and references.

His trophy description hints that Sir Kibble might be just his armor, and nothing inside.
