- This article is about the select theme from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, and should not be confused with the similarly-named select theme from Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land.
"Select Screen"[Japanese title] is a theme from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, heard in its file select.
Composition[edit]
"Select Screen" is a relatively short track in A minor and in 4/4. The instrumentation consists of clear, crystal-like bells. Its melody is steady, with each note taking a single beat. The first two phrases start with a rising intonation followed by a gradual descent, while the third and fourth have a smoother movement. The second phrase in particular has an F-sharp, characteristic of melodic minor. The accompaniment provides harmonic support in semiquavers.
