Sawgill is a saw-bearing fish enemy which debuted in Kirby's Epic Yarn and later appered in Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn. It can typically be found in bodies of water, patrolling a distinct area. If left on land, it will only be able to flop about. Its saw can harm Kirby, but it can be easily defeated from behind.

Sawgill made its first appearance in this game. It can be found in a few aquatic stages, starting with Splash Beach. It can deflect attacks on the front with its saw, but it is vulnerable from behind.

Sawgill returns in this title, bearing a somewhat different design from before. In addition to appearing in the main game, Sawgill also appears as a Figurine.
