Sandman

Sandman is an enemy appearing in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It is a stretchable, bright yellow creature with two oval, black eyes and an open mouth, the latter only becoming visible when it stretches its body.
These adversaries are first encountered in the first stage of Rock Star. Although they are initially no more than small, cupola-shaped sand hills with eyes resting on the ground, they grow considerably taller as soon as Kirby gets near them, only shrinking again when he has left their proximity. While they do not move or actively try to harm Kirby, touching a Sandman causes the pink hero to lose health.
Sandmans can be destroyed by any attack. Inhaling and swallowing them does not grant Kirby a Copy Ability. If Kirby attempts to raise one above his head, it will disintegrate into sand. Like other ability-neutral foes in the game, they do not respawn once defeated.
