This article is about the stage hazard from Kirby Star Allies. For Waddle Dees in a more general context, see Waddle Dee.

Rolling Waddle Dee[derived from Japanese] is an enemy and stage hazard present in Kirby Star Allies. The name refers to any number of Waddle Dees who may be rolling, whether it be an individual Waddle Dee, or a packed ball of them. A ball typically consists of a hundred or a thousand Waddle Dees packed tightly together, and while an individual can be defeated or inhaled by normal means, the balls cannot be attacked using any conventional methods. Balls of rolling Waddle Dees can be seen bouncing in from the background in addition to merely rolling along floors and down hills. The Waddle Dees inside appear to have no control over (or desire to be in) the ball formation, and it is not entirely clear what is holding them together. Once a rolling Waddle Dee Ball hits a wall or other obstacle, it will break apart, sending the Waddle Dees composing it flying off in various directions.

The Waddle Dee balls will hurt Kirby and his friends on contact and can break through obstacles such as Star Blocks, stone blocks, and metal blocks. The ball formation is immune to normal attacks, but can be destroyed using repeated volleys from the Friend Star, with each hit causing the ball to become smaller until it breaks.
