Rolling Turtle[1] is a Mid-Boss in Kirby's Adventure. The appearance of Rolling Turtle is similar to that of a turtle or tortoise. It has bunny-like front teeth along with naive eyes. It seems to have a human-like vertebrae and a very round shell. Defeating and swallowing it yields the Throw ability.

Rolling Turtle attacks in two different ways. It can either curl up and roll toward Kirby, or toss shells at him which can be inhaled. At any point during the fight, if Kirby gets too close to Rolling Turtle, it will grab him, rock him back-and-forth, and then release him to deal damage.

Replacement

In Nightmare in Dream Land, Rolling Turtle has been replaced by a different opponent for unknown reasons, similarly to Bounder and Togezo. In the turtle's case, its replacement is the elephant-like Mid-Boss Phan Phan. Rolling Turtle is also the only Mid-Boss to have been replaced.
