“…Hmph! *THUD*”
With a will as hard as…something very hard, this rugged fellow is a real heavy hitter. He slides on water or ice and has an uppercut to end any argument!

— Guest Star Rocky Rock the World Pause Screen description in Kirby Star Allies

Rocky is a reoccurring enemy throughout the Kirby series, making his debut in Kirby's Adventure and appearing in many of the games released since then. He resembles a walking stone with a pair of flat feet, black eyes and often a corded headband which closely resembles Hammer Kirby's headband. While his colors may vary between appearances, he is most commonly depicted as brown or orange with yellow feet.

Rocky commonly situates himself atop a tall cliff, column, on high blocks, or other high-elevation objects. His position is significant in terms of how he attacks: Rocky uses his high perch as leverage to drop down while Kirby is walking by, in an effort to squish the pink puffball with his weight. In the event that Rocky misses, he will rise, exposing his feet, and slowly walk around. In some of his appearances, if Kirby is on the same level as Rocky, the foe will jump to a location in the air right above Kirby and hesitate a beat before attempting to fall on top of him once more. As Rocky can only fall straight down, however, his attacks can be easily avoided by moving out of the way.

While Rocky is vulnerable to all attacks, defeating him by any means other than inhaling can take a long time in any game that assigns health meters to enemies due to his exceptional hardiness. True to his name and appearance, inhaling Rocky will grant Kirby the Stone Copy Ability. Rocky can also be made into a Helper in Kirby Super Star, Kirby Super Star Ultra and Kirby Star Allies.

Due to his ubiquity and longevity in the series, Rocky has a number of cousin enemies, which are usually bigger and hardier than himself. These include the Mid-Bosses Blocky and Moundo, as well as Giant Rocky from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, and Metalun from Kirby: Squeak Squad.

From there, he will try to walk back and forth slowly. • Despite being a relatively passive helper, Rocky is used in Guest Star ???? Star Allies Go! for the world record 100% speedrun of Kirby Star Allies (individual Guest Star speedruns tend to be dominated by The Three Mage-Sisters instead, but they are not initially available to play as when unlocking the mode).
