"Revenge of Meta Knight: Title"[derived from Japanese] is the title theme of Revenge of Meta Knight from Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra.

Composition[edit]

A great battle lies ahead.

"Revenge of Meta Knight: Title" is a short and ominous theme. It features a sequence of three descending diminished seventh chords. The first two are connected with a glissando, while the third is detached and plays with a strong vibrato.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby Super Star / Kirby Super Star Ultra[edit]

In Kirby Super Star and its remake, "Revenge of Meta Knight: Title" plays as the title music for said game mode.

Kirby Mass Attack[edit]

In Kirby Mass Attack, "Revenge of Meta Knight: Title" is paired with "Dyna Blade's Nest" as "Stone Statue", which plays in the cutscene "Showdown!" prior to the battle against Necrodeus. This version was arranged by Shogo Sakai.

Kirby: Planet Robobot[edit]

In Kirby: Planet Robobot, a new arrangement of "Revenge of Meta Knight: Title" serves as the Game Over jingle of Meta Knightmare Returns, making up the first part of "You Lack Discipline", arranged by Jun Ishikawa.

Kirby Fighters 2[edit]

In Kirby Fighters 2, an arrangement of the theme plays as the jingle preceding the battle at the summit of the Buddy Fighters Tower in Story Mode's final chapter.
