A Reel Gate is a wall-like object found in Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn that can change Kirby (and Prince Fluff) from one of their Metamortex transformations into their normal forms. It is found at the end of every Metamortex stretch in the game, including the final fight with Mega Yin-Yarn and cannot be avoided under normal circumstances. Passing through a Reel Gate is often necessary to clear the stage, as ringing the Bonus Bell at the end requires the Yarn Whip, which cannot be used during any of the transformations.
