Rainbow Falls is the third of the seven stages of Grass Land, in Kirby's (Extra) Epic Yarn. To unlock it, Kirby must get the Alarm Clock Patch from Flower Fields. This level heavily revolves around water and its functions. Near the end, the Metamortex Spin Boarder is used and introduced.

Patch Animation

When Kirby throws the Alarm Clock Patch, it lands in a slot below the ground next to a sleeping bear. An alarm clock appears and wakes up the bear. The bear stretches and raises the earth above it into a small hill with rocks. Then the bear goes back to sleep and the door opens.

Stage

The stage starts out in a small cave behind a waterfall with a bottomless pit, introducing the gimmicks of the level. The floor of the level is mostly covered in water with a current, so that the player will be gradually pushed down the slope most of the time. To make traveling less easy, this stage introduces bottomless pits which there are multiple of in the stage. Additionally there are small waterfalls everywhere, which is the apparent source of all that water. A lot of the time the waterfalls don't fall down near cliffs like they normally would.

Medal Bead Scores

  • Bronze - 300 points
  • Silver - 600 points
  • Gold - 900 points

Enemies

Enemies Mid-Bosses

  • None.

Metamortex Stretch

The Spin Boarder Metamortex is introduced in this stage. It starts out moving slowly in a hilly overworld area, as the tutorial animation plays on the sign and then the movement speeds up. Beads are placed to lure the player over enemies, like Gators, or to treasures and bonus stars.

Bonuses

The first Treasure is in an area with a thin yarn block under a full yarn block. The thin yarn block has to be pulled to get on top of the full yarn block. Once the full yarn block has slid far enough onto the water, Kirby must jump onto the upper left platform to obtain the Rainbow Arch.

The two-star Bonus Star is found in the same area as the first treasure, behind a patch on a water-free platform on the right side of that area.

The second Treasure is located in an area right before the Metamortex stretch. Here, there is a platform to the upper left of the Metamortex. When Kirby jumps on it, there are several crocodiles on the platforms ahead. Getting rid of them enables him to obtain the Outdoor Bath

In order to find the three- and five-star Bonus Star and the third treasure, you need to follow the beads and the exclamation bubbles in the Metamortex part of the stage.
