Plasma Wisp is a relatively obscure spectral entity from the Kirby series. When portrayed as a foe, its appearance is that of a floating green or blue flame with yellow hand-like appendages, and small, round, black eyes. When portrayed as a helper, it appears a greenish hue, except in Helper to Hero, as it appears blue.

Game appearances

Kirby Super Star (Ultra)

Plasma Wisp makes its debut appearance in Kirby Super Star and also appears in Template:KSSU. Plasma Wisp hovers around an unfixed area, projecting blasts of energy towards Kirby. It uses stronger attacks if Kirby is farther away. In its helper form, it possesses all the abilities of Plasma Kirby. When Kirby swallows it, or scans it with the Copy ability, he receives the Plasma ability.

Super Smash Bros. series

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U

Plasma Wisps appear as enemies in the 3DS-exclusive mode, Smash Run. They act much the same as they did in Super Star, and take a few hits to send flying.

In the Wii U version, a shadowy version of Plasma Wisp appears in several places during the Master Fortress fight.

3DS trophy description

"This glowing enemy from the Kirby series uses plasma to attack. In Smash Bros., it'll float up to a fighter and then fire off energy attacks. There are three different levels to its attack. Level-two attacks can stun you, while level-three attacks do more damage. Keep your eyes peeled for those attacks!"

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Plasma Wisp is a novice Support Spirit that can appear on the Spirit Board at random times. He takes up two support slots and gives the host fighter the Hothead item at the beginning of a battle.
