The real Clawroline asked Kirby to help her save Leongar. This phantom feline is a fake! Formed from negative thoughts and powerful psychic energy, this wild beast doesn't seem to care about Leongar at all. She may be an illusion, but her claws will cause real damage!
— Figure description from Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Phantom Clawroline (titled Illusory Leopard) is a more powerful illusory form of Clawroline which appears as the boss of Forgo Park in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and can also be fought in The Ultimate Cup Z in the Colosseum. Phantom Clawroline looks and fights largely the same as her real counterpart, but has a different color scheme, with bright cyan, purple, and magenta fur, and eyes resembling those of Fecto Forgo.

AttacksEdit

Phantom Clawroline has all of the same attacks as her normal counterpart, though some have different properties, and also sports a few new ones. She also has more health than Clawroline, having 1,600 HP in Forgo Park and 1,120 HP in the Colosseum. She transitions to the second phase once her health is at 40% of her maximum health or lower. She takes 0.2X damage during phase transitions and 0.8X damage during the entire second phase.[1]

The following are all of Phantom Clawroline's attacks (attack names are from page 106 of the Kirby and the Forgotten Land Perfect Support Guide). Attacks in italics are only used in Phase 2.

Phantom Clawroline's attacks in Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Attack Description Variants
スポットライト・ショータイム
Spotlight Showtime
Phantom Clawroline gets on all fours and vanishes in a puff of smoke. After a drum roll and swiveling spotlights hint to where she might appear, she reappears and uses a Finish Claw on Kirby, leaving three Dropped Stars. Phantom Clawroline always begins the battle with this attack.
スリルエッジ
Thrill Edge
Phantom Clawroline takes out five knives before throwing them at Kirby, leaving one Dropped Star once they reach the edge of the arena. She can throw one, two, three, or four groups of these in quick succession. Inhaling her knives will give Kirby the Sword ability. In phase 2, Phantom Clawroline may jump to one of the metal structures surrounding the arena before taking out ten knives and throwing them at Kirby in rapid succession, leaving a Dropped Star on impact. She may repeat this variant one or two more times before following up with a "Surprise Event."
ハンティング
Hunting
Phantom Clawroline leaps toward Kirby and then falls straight downward with her claws out, creating a shockwave on landing and producing several Dropped Stars. She may do this several times in succession.
1・2クロウ
1-2 Claw
Phantom Clawroline takes out her claws and slashes two or four times in front of her, leaving a Dropped Star with each slash.
フィニッシュクロウ
Finish Claw
After "1-2 Claw," Phantom Clawroline may follow up with a finishing slash involving both claws, leaving three Dropped Stars behind.
アサルトキャット
Assault Cat
Phantom Clawroline takes out her claws, gets into position, and dashes at high speed towards Kirby, leaving a Dropped Star wherever she created an afterimage of herself.
She may perform one of these quickly after using 1-2 Claw.
魅惑と幻惑のドリームショー
Enchanting and Dazzling Dream Show
Phantom Clawroline creates three illusory copies of herself, who all proceed to jump to the four metal structures surrounding the arena. One by one, all four phantoms will dive towards Kirby's current location. The last one that attacks is always the real Phantom Clawroline and is the only one that leaves Dropped Stars behind.
She always begins the second phase with this attack.
サイコクロッシングレオン
Psycho-Crossing Leon
Phantom Clawroline steps back, and then throws an energy wave in an X shape at Kirby that leaves Dropped Stars in its wake.
As the name would imply, this attack is similar to the one Leongar uses.
サプライズイベント
Surprise Event
Phantom Clawroline jumps to one of the metal structures surrounding the arena before taking out her claws and diving towards Kirby's current location, leaving six Dropped Stars in a hexagonal pattern on impact with the ground.

TriviaEdit

  • Likely by mistake, Phantom Clawroline is the only phantom boss not referred to with gender neutral pronouns.
