NESP (formerly known as Esper[from internal data]) is a floating enemy that debuted in Kirby: Planet Robobot, and provides the ESP ability when swallowed. He somewhat resembles Magolor in physique, bearing a small body and two disembodied hands. He wears a black hood with a psychic eye insignia on it and attacks by sending an oscillating wave of energy in Kirby's direction. Esper will also occasionally teleport about, with this being his only form of movement as an enemy.
NESP returns in Kirby Star Allies as a Friend, as well as an enemy. He provides the ESP ability like before. Unlike most other allies, NESP is capable of hovering without resorting to an Infinity Jump.
Trivia
- It may appear at first that NESP does not wear a Kirby-style hat once made into a friend. However, the rim of the hat can be seen underneath NESP's hood.
- Despite floating above the ground, NESP still makes footstep sounds when 'walking'.
- NESP is one of the few allies who can vocalize. He does this when using PK Insight, though this shout is exactly the same as Kirby's.
