Mr. Star is a character who appears in both versions of Kirby's Star Stacker. He is a sentient five-pointed star with a sphere in each of his flanks, and is capable of flight and interstellar travel.
Game appearances
Kirby's Star Stacker (Game Boy)
Mr. Star's debut role in Kirby's Star Stacker for Game Boy is a fairly minor one. He appears in place of King Dedede's face in the Challenge Mode of the game, and does little else.
Kirby's Star Stacker (SNES)
Mr. Star has an expanded role in Kirby's Star Stacker for Super Famicom's story mode. While traveling through space, he passed Pop Star. Spotting him, King Dedede shot him down using a cannon, causing him to split into several pieces. After landing on Kirby, the pink puffball agreed to help him get back together again so he can fly once more, with Kirby's Animal Friends Rick, Kine and Coo joining in the search for the pieces. After trouncing every opponent who had grabbed a piece, including King Dedede at his castle, Mr. Star was able to return to his normal self, and flew back off into space.
Kirby: Planet Robobot
Mr. Star makes a cameo as a sticker in Kirby: Planet Robobot.
Trivia
- Mr. Star looks somewhat like Starfy, from The Legendary Starfy series, which caused some initial confusion when his sticker was revealed in international releases of Kirby: Planet Robobot.
