Mr. Sandbag is in the next room. You can practice your moves on him!
— Elfilin, in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Mr. Sandbag is an inert and harmless training dummy that first appeared in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. He somewhat resembles Golem, but has no mouth and - as his name implies - is not made of stone, but instead likely just sand in a puppet-shaped sack. Mr. Sandbag's job is to sit still and take a beating from Kirby so the pink puffball can practice various Copy Abilities without putting himself in danger. In Kirby Battle Royale, Mr. Sandbag is redesigned to look more like Kirby, making him somewhat resemble the Remocoroid from Kirby: Planet Robobot.

Game appearances

Kirby's Return to Dream Land / Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe

Mr. Sandbag makes his first appearance in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Here, he can be found inside the training rooms in the Lor Starcutter, placed on a platform above the doorway leading out. In this game, Mr. Sandbag has 999 hit points (for reference, a regular Star Bullet deals 52 damage), meaning he can take quite a lot of damage, but not an infinite amount. As he loses health, he starts to flash red at 666 HP and starts flashing faster at 333 HP. Once he is defeated, a new Mr. Sandbag will appear immediately afterward. Alternatively, Mr. Sandbag can be immediately defeated by using Kirby's inhale. Mr. Sandbag provides no Copy Ability if swallowed.

Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition

Mr. Sandbag appears again in the New Challenge Stages Sub-Game, with the same look and function as before. Unlike in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Kirby does not always have an opportunity to inhale Mr. Sandbag in this game, since he will always be forced to choose and keep an ability before entering the training rooms in each level, unless he chooses to use his Normal form in the training room for Last Land. Notably, the Mr. Sandbag in this training room is larger, and has 1.5 times more HP than the others.

Kirby Battle Royale

Split this page! Notice: It has been suggested that this page or section be split into Torerobo.
Please discuss this on the talk page.

Reason: Honestly since we know this thing has a distinct name now, we should probably move it to its own article.

Torerobo in Kirby Battle Royale.

In Kirby Battle Royale, a Mr. Sandbag-like entity named Torerobo[1] (short for Training Robot) appears, which resembles Remocoroid. Torerobo has the same HP as other fighters, and is found in the training rooms. Like the other fighters, Torerobo can be knocked down, carried, and tossed, and will automatically get back up after a short while when this happens. Torerobo will also return to its starting position after a short while if left alone.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land

In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Mr. Sandbag appears in Waddle Dee's Weapons Shop, and this time has a proper name and health bar. As usual, his purpose is to let Kirby test his abilities.
