Minor characters are characters from the Kirby series who never play more than an insignificant role in the games or story-lines they appear in, but serve a more significant role than simply being a cameo appearance. More specifically, a minor character is a character who lacks all of the following qualities:

  • having plot-significant dialogue or interacting directly and repeatedly with Kirby or another prominent character in the story, through cut-scenes or otherwise.
  • making multiple appearances as a distinct individual entity in a game. (i.e. a trait lacking in most common enemies, though they will not be listed here)
  • having a larger role than simply as an opponent. (i.e. a trait lacking in most common enemies, bosses and mid-bosses, though again they will not be listed here)

List of minor characters by game

The following list covers all minor characters by game, though it should be noted that some characters on this list play more significant roles in other games. It should be noted that this list will not cover characters who appear from other video game franchises or media. Those characters are mentioned on the Cameo characters page instead. This list will also not cover audiences or crowds, as they also qualify as cameo appearances:

Kirby's Dream Land

(one of the butterflies in the intro cut-scene for Green Greens may be the Butterfly, but due to the monochrome nature of the game, this cannot be confirmed)
