Mike, also known as Microphone[1], is an item appearing in a few Kirby games, starting with Kirby's Dream Land. Starting with Kirby's Adventure, mikes were replaced with the identically-titled Mike Copy Ability, and have not made many appearances since.

Game appearances

Kirby's Dream Land

In Kirby's Dream Land, Mikes appear in fixed locations in certain stages, starting with Castle Lololo. Kirby can inhale a mike, but can only use it by spitting it out. By doing so, Kirby shouts into the Mike, defeating all enemies within range. If Kirby swallows a mike, he loses it, and nothing happens.

Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble

Mikes appear in Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble as collectable stage items, serving the same function as in Kirby's Dream Land.

In Kirby Air Ride, mikes were renamed to Walky, and they appear as rare items in the Top Ride mode. When picked up, Kirby pauses for a moment, and shouts into the mike, causing all other racers to become stunned, unable to move until the players controlling them mash out of it using the control stick.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe

Mikes appear in the Kirby: Triple Deluxe sub-game Kirby Fighters as a special item. When a Kirby uses and shouts into the Mike, the other Kirbys receive severe damage and are sent flying across the screen. Some stage hazards like Lololo and Lalala and enemies can be defeated with the Mike.

Kirby Fighters Deluxe

Mikes appear once again in Kirby Fighters Deluxe, retaining their main function from the Kirby Fighters subgame.

Kirby Fighters 2

Mikes appear once again in Kirby Fighters 2, serving the same function as before, but with some changes. Mikes now harm players and stage hazards only within a certain radius. Buddies can also use the Mike, with some shouting their unique battle cries.
