Meta Melon Isle is the sixth stage (first extra stage) of Dream Land in Kirby's Epic Yarn, unlocked by defeating Yin-Yarn with enough beads to earn the Baseball Bat Patch. This stage is a gauntlet of five consecutive Metamortex transformations. Completing this stage grants the Galaxia Sword Patch, used to unlock Battleship Halberd.

Patch Animation

Upon throwing the patch, a Waddle Dee appears with a giant baseball bat, and swipes it at the watermelon. This causes the watermelon to split in half, with the upper half turning into water. From here, the Waddle Dee jumps on the melon, then slides off, causing it to spin over so the water half aligns with the water in the background. At this point, some palm trees sprout on the melon and the door opens.

Stage

This stage takes place in a tropical setting. Here, Kirby will need to use five different Metamortex transformations in succession to clear the stage. They are, in order of appearance:

Each section is designed to test Kirby's skill using that particular Metamortex. With the exception of the Train section, each one has many hazards to overcome. Once the last section is cleared, Kirby is placed at the Bonus Bell to complete the stage.

Trivia

  • The background music is an acoustic version of the Ice Cream Island theme from Kirby's Adventure. The in-game description for this song's CD incorrectly states it as being from Kirby's Dream Land.
  • During the Train section of this level, Kirby can uncover beads that make the shapes of actual constellations, such as Orion and the Big Dipper.
